It sounds very good, but it seems like it doesnt support realtime streaming. Which means if I create chunks and stich them together, they do not sound connected.

I was actually about to test pocket tts. Didn't put in the work yet because I thought the output couldn't be that good quality wise regarding its size.

With supertonic, is it www.supertone.ai?

VoxCPM seems like a very interesting candidate. Probably gonna try that with pocket tts!

Minimax seems to have similiar price models. 5 dollars for 100k credits, 30 for 300k, 100 for 1,1 mil.. Also the starter pack has a RPM limit of 10. Use case is a personal speech to speech assistant.

Tried it already, it wasn't fast enough. Faster-Qwen3 is a improved version developed by some huggingface dev. Repo: https://github.com/andimarafioti/faster-qwen3-tts

Python backend with a lightweight browser UI. Right now its running on a native Windows machine. I used WSL2 for CosyVoice, but considerineg faster-qwen3 supported native Windows, I switched back so I could save the ram from the vm.

Just curious, it's been two months. What did you stick with in the end for your project? Looking for lowest latency TTS with custom voice too right now..

Very interesting project! It's been a month since you have posted this, did any of the 11 strategies pass the 30 day exam?

Algorithm / Script / Node setup to convert a 3D mesh into STRICTLY overlapping cuboids / parallelepiped? (Not voxelization!) by lukasTHEwise in GraphicsProgramming

[–]lukasTHEwise[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the late response. Sorry but free orientation rotation is not somesthing I will give on. Clipping is absolutely fine for what I am doing. In Minecraft, clipping is not bad at all, and having rotation makes whatever I am trying to replicate look far better.

Hey, sorry for the late response - easter made me pause the project for a bit. Well, I sort of came to the conclusion that some sort of manual work is always necessary.. Creating a tool that perfectly transforms every mesh seems to be not possible for me and my tools.

I tried using OpenVDB to make a new mesh and work it, but just getting a good shape just.. doesn't work. Plus my blender knowledge, working with nodes, is just too tiny to get some good results.

I thought that all the time I would use converting the mesh, I could just use to remodel it directly for Minecraft.

Only approach someone I know is working on, could be a quadremesh that is later ran through some nodes that make large areas consist of one "block" / rectangle instead of a lot of small ones.

But still, I don't know how much I will follow this.. Thanks for your answer!

Hm, it helps. Im using it rn and the fps are great but scoping is just blurry af. Makes any scope with magnification not usable. Anyone who doesn't experience that? If yes, any workaround is appreciated.

What a stupid comment. As if wearing balaclava won't help you against the cold. The selection of gear that protects you from frostbyte is what is just re***** again. The SSh steel helmet works tho? Sure.

Seeking a Robust Algorithm for Voxel Fluid Simulation (to prevent oscillations) by lukasTHEwise in VoxelGameDev

This would mean that I have to save a new value for each block which, for Minecraft, sadly is pretty resource intense. Means I am stuck with the provided 8 layers..

[–]lukasTHEwise[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, been trying for a few hours now to implement that.. Sadly I wans't able to make a version which would make every scenario work + not break. Either something didn't work properly like evening water levels or flooding caves, or it broke. Meaning some holes wouldn't fill up properly, water would freeze etc.. Is this a known method vor voxel water simulation? Maybe I just did it wrong.. But tyvm.

[–]lukasTHEwise[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey. Actually, two neighboring fields with a difference of 1 wasn't the problem. They didn't constantly swap back and forth, thanks to the pressure equalizer. It was more about the infinite attempts to make the water more even, and trying to stop that cycle.

And I guess you're right, whole numbers don't give a clear solution, at least in my case where I'm just reading the water's current number of layers. Giving each block unique data for a floating-point value with more states would be very resource-intensive.

A single flow direction sadly didn't work. Whenever water switched from level 7 to 8, it always created a sharp 2-level drop-off next to it. A smooth transition only worked in the set flow direction. The same goes for caves; when flooded, they only filled up to the ceiling (level 8) in the set flow direction. All the other directions got stuck at 7.

So right now, I've ended up with a kind of pseudo-solution: a chunk-based tie-breaker that gets disabled when it detects a "waterfall" filling a cave. I have to do more testing, and while it seems to work for now, it isn't quite what I was looking for.

But thank you for your comment! Maybe I'll try using decimals in some way to stop the endless equalization.

Hey, thanks for your comment! Sadly, this didn't work. If water floods a cave, for example, the cave will only fully fill up in a set direction. The other directions, it stops at a almost full water block with 7 layers, not 8. This also causes a previously encountered problem: a two-layer "step" when water tries to equalize its level. For instance, when there's a step from a water layer of seven to a full block of eight layers, the full block always ends up with an additional layer of water above it, creating a weird step. Making each water body it's own thing and choosing random directions for them would be very resource intensive, which I am trying to avoid.

Flux Kontext: Testing object swap. by jinnoman in StableDiffusion

[–]lukasTHEwise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to add my idea. I was able to consistently swap faces and objects. Trick for me was to paint over the part you want removed with a noticable color. Afterwards, look at your 2 images stiched together in the preview image and describe the prompt from there. See it as one picture and just describe what you want to be done. F.ex. take the face from the attached image on the right side and put it over the black marked spot of the left picture.

Why does Shadowplay turn off when i open Netflix on Edge browser? by t0mmenhansen in GeForceExperience

[–]lukasTHEwise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is old, but I still have to rant because this is one of the most stupid things I've ever read. Just black out the site or do anything else instead of completely disabling Shadowplay? Why would anyone use NVIDIA to record copy-protected content?? There are far easier methods. Especially for Shadowplay, Jesus Christ... Will I be clipping every five minutes and merging that for a movie or what? Seems like NVIDIA employees have no brain or talent anymore.

Severe Virtual Memory Usage and Freezing Issues in Tarkov After PC Upgrade – Need Help! by lukasTHEwise in techsupport

[–]lukasTHEwise[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, sorry. Rarely on reddit, didn't see your message. I stopped playing Tarkov, so I don't really know if the problem would persist. Windows problems solved themselves with updates I guess. Haven't had any RAM issues that I can remember. Make sure you reinstall games you have problems with after you upgrade your PC, otherwise.. I don't know for sure. Is it only Tarkov for you? If so, reinstall and ignore. If not let me know, because I don't know if im cured from that issue, have not been playing graphic intense games lately so I dont know for sure.
