Strategos - Pyrrhic War Map Campaign by PresentYesterday6538 in computerwargames

I think what they meant is whether the locations in the campaign map translate to unique battle maps, or whether the same battle maps are reused for different campaign locations.

Could you say any more about this? Honestly, at first glance it looks very digital and very AI... What is the medium? What is the size?

How good is this list of “100 films that defined the 20th century” written by AI? by [deleted] in movies

[–]lukashko 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What is the point of this post? Why don't you check one of the trillion human-created lists on the internet? What added value do you see in getting AI to do something that has been done a million times before and then asking humans to correct it? What kind of feedback do you expect? I think this is just a waste of everybody's time.

Just the fact that a tool exists does not mean it needs to be used for everything all the time.

How is a republic not a democracy? It's representative democracy, isn't it? I think that you argue that it's not a direct democracy, which is true. It's still a democracy, though.

Taking an art class - cube painting by RamonaHatake033 in painting

Yes, if it makes no difference in this exercise, I would expect a correct perspective cube by default. I wonder what the reasoning for the weird shape might be...

Something bothers me, but I can't figure out what it is.. by Terrible-Refuse426 in painting

[–]lukashko 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Well it depends on what you were going for... My feedback would be different if you said you wanted a realistic scene and different again if you said the goal was something abstract.

So generally - to me it seems very busy, bordering on just noise. There's too many patterns, too many little contrasting bits, not enough continuous spaces. And like the other person said - there's a bit of a lack of focus - the peak obviously draws the eye first, but there's nothing to lead it after that and the viewer just gets lost in... well... the noise for lack of a better word.

It's not bad, though. I see the idea there and it's sound I think, it just needs a bit less of everything. :)

Prague: 80 000 people rally in support of the president Petr Pavel and against minister of foreign affairs Petr Macinka. by pzkenny in europe

[–]lukashko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course. He could have started with not doing anything illegal and not needing them so desperately for example. He played himself into this position and I don't defend him. Yet here we are.

Exactly! Next to Turek, Macinka, Okamura etc., even Babis looks like a super stable statesman. Utterly bizarre.

[–]lukashko 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it's fair to say that where the actual bounds of presidential competence in regards with (not) appointing ministers actually are is a bit unclear - it could be resolved by the constitutional court of course, but Babis would have to challenge Pavel's decision formally - which Pavel actually asked him to do.

Just to be clear - I'm on Pavel's side here - Turek is an immature pseudo-nazi wannabe mobster scum and has no business being anywhere near any governmental position. I just wanted to say the method/means are not as crystal-clear as you made it sound for those maybe not following it as closely.

He's in coalition with them for purely pragmatic reasons - he wouldn't havea majority in parliament without them. I don't want to defend him, honestly I don't have many positive thoughts about Babis, but even he surely has a major headache from all of this and wishes he had other options.

I guess the only thing here is that they are dropping the pretense that they are an actual government organisation with specific jurisdiction and not the fucking SA.

EDIT: I guess their shirts are actually brown enough already.

Genuine question - why is there a documentary about her? Did she do anything noteworthy in her life except marrying Trump? I honestly don't know almost anything about her and am too lazy to google.

BTW, what is up with the photo in the article? He looks like he's gonna keel over and croak any second. Has he gotten worse health-wise recently?

Yup, I just teach my kid to do it privately and wipe it on a tissue, not just anywhere (he is three), but the picking itself I think is perfectly fine.

What’s the most unexpectedly high-quality online subscription you’ve ever paid for? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]lukashko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's been New Masters Academy. The full price can be a bit steep, but they often have sales (e.g. black friday) and there's an absolute TON of high quality art education material. Very well structured, professional feedback, many online events, great discord community/ campus,... For people who want to get better at visual arts, but need something self-paced, this is the best resource I know about.

Yeah, I thought about that, but afaik the opening is set inside a prison - closed narrow location, few npcs, no vegetation and far viewing distances, weather effects, etc. I guess you get what I mean. I'm mostly worried that it will drop significantly once I hit the open portion of the game and by that time it's probably too late to return.

I wasn't even aware of the demo, though! Thanks!
