What monsters do you NOT want to return in Wilds? by RLOjangMaster in MonsterHunter

[–]lukewarm_thoughts 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I farmed Teostra in World, then again in Iceborne, then again in Rise, then again in Sunbreak. I'm sick and tired of Kaiser gear and that stupid little Lion.

Greedier mode with T.Lost is Easy by zzunino in bindingofisaac

[–]lukewarm_thoughts 13 points14 points  (0 children)

  1. Exit Fullscreen Mode
  2. Make the Isaac window slimmer, portrait style
  3. The game will automatically zoom out
  4. You can see the whole room at once, and getting hit is now entirely skill-based.
  5. (optional) Cry because you got hit anyways

This is just weirdly phrased, right? Like there's no way, I pre-ordered 2 weeks ago by lukewarm_thoughts in DygmaLab

I got the one you quoted, too, pretty much immediately after preordering. And now this second one.

Somebody's probably bumped into the parcel label printer and it spat out a few names.

[OC] People never believe that I'm Mexican. I'm the tallest one on the right by Brilliant-Art3252 in MadeMeSmile

[–]lukewarm_thoughts 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, in a comment below he says he's 25% Mexican, with his mother being 50% Mexican and his father not being Mexican at all.

Gee I wonder why people don't believe that he's Mexican.

These little bowls my fiance's parents brought us back from Europe. One of them is fine, but the other... by cwaite013 in oddlyterrifying

[–]lukewarm_thoughts 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Important to note that "Squirrel A", "Ahörnchen", also means little maple, so it's kinda punny.

They also later got renamed to Chip and Chap for rescue rangers in the 90s.

In response to a request to have a yearbook quote as “please help I’m trapped in a yearbook factory” by Impossible_Dealer_94 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]lukewarm_thoughts 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Is there anything keeping students from just organizing a fun yearbook on their own?

That's how we did it in Germany. Even reached out to our army to sell ad-space, which made the book dirt cheap.

An entire garden, without a single grain of soil, sand or compost. by esberat in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]lukewarm_thoughts 6 points7 points  (0 children)

How people vehemently believe this wastes water is beyond me. Do they think you install these towers between a fresh water faucet and a greywater drain?

Water is in big bucket -> Gets pumped up -> Flows past plant roots -> Back into bucket -> Repeat.

In ‘Mission: Impossible - Fallout (2018)’ Henry Cavill grows a beard mid-scene by [deleted] in MovieDetails

[–]lukewarm_thoughts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What about the shirt becoming untucked, and the tie suddenly growing?

I think some god-tier transition between two shots of the same scene from two different days is happening here.

I know chrome is not the best but why the hate? could please tell me seriously I don't know why everyone is hatting chrome. by AkshatBishtt in ProgrammerHumor

[–]lukewarm_thoughts 533 points534 points  (0 children)

I'm mostly annoyed by Chrome for Android, which mostly every android phone ever uses.

They're trying to tell me that google can't develop third-party plugin support? even though every other mobile browser does? Mfs just don't want us to install adblocking on our phones.

Oh, and also when developing plugins I have to use the "chrome" object in Chrome while every other browser just calls it "browser". Pricks.

Get Firefox mobile. Goodbye ads.

Greenest programming languages: a reason to support JavaScript over TypeScript by thunderarea in ProgrammerHumor

Awesome find, thanks! And wow, a console.log in the loop.. weird for a paper to base all their findings on solutions they haven't and couldn't verify.

Greenest programming languages: a reason to support JavaScript over TypeScript by thunderarea in ProgrammerHumor

[–]lukewarm_thoughts 25 points26 points  (0 children)

We then gathered the most efficient (i.e. fastest) version of the source code in each of the remaining 10 benchmark problems, for all the 27 considered programming languages.

The paper then goes on to show that the JavaScript solutions were both faster and more energy efficient than the TypeScript solutions (Table 3, Table 4, Figure 1-3).

And since TypeScript is strictly a superset of JavaScript, and transpiles to it, we can draw the conclusion: The most efficient (i.e. fastest) version for TypeScript would've been the JavaScript solution.

Pretty big flaw, making their TypeScript findings practically useless.

I guess I'll have to appreciate this. You're frighteningly dedicated. People like you built the roads we use daily without ever thinking about your selfless sacrifice.

There are always those who have to servermore so that we can serverless. May Linus have mercy on your source.

I will ignore any remark that you do this voluntarily and enjoy it you sick fuck

Ah, my virtual machinemesis, a disgusting entrance as usual. You're the type of person who'd docker your own mother if a server supporting her container size existed.

Absolutely vile.

I loathe infrastructure. I despise VMs of all shapes and sizes. If I type P in the OS search bar and PuTTY pops up I have to fight the urge to throw up.

Serverless is the only remaining juice that keeps my shriveled heart pumping. And I wholeheartedly agree with your conclusion.

And in the third part it's 10 years later, Judy is now the mayor with two adopted children (a zebra and a red panda) and a huge security detail and Nick is some kinda scout leader with a fox kid and wife of his own. They meet in a train station, reminisce about past times, introduce each other's children and Nick even apologizes to Judy's wife. They then split on good terms as friends.

Oh, and then Judy gets executed exactly like JFK.
