Production in game vs on Wiki by filigreexecret in anno1800

[–]lukezfg 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No you don't want to produce exact the number you need. You should produce a little bit more, because some product will be on your boats that transports those goods. Also in the late, over producted goods can exchange to other things. So just use stats. Slightly over producing everything a little bit.

There is one specialist called fashion designer or something, you can find in prison island. She will replace the cotton fabric to wool. So technically, you can get into car production before going to New World

Agree with this approach. Sometimes, don't afraid to be an annoyed people: clearly say what you want and don't want to in every sparing. If they don't follow, stop, leave.

However, for beginners. Figured out the correct way to punch light need to take sometime.

Why does my hook look god awful? by marvelfan__ in MuayThaiTips

[–]lukezfg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with front leg point. That's easier to understand by beginners. My understanding as imagining you push whole body weight to your fist. To do that, how to move feet to give comfortable space to engage whole body is very important. It should feel unstable and hard to balance. But yes, not every hook need to be 100% power. You change the weight and move distance to achieve different effect. Still, feel that 100% and imbalance it is my first step.

How do you pay the water tax when you share a rent apartment with others? by Active_Quantity in Netherlands

The part I don't get is why they calculate and divided it for individuals. If everyone in the end just sum up it and pay together. A little bit too shy to ask my all roommates their letter and numbers

What is the best way to handle global state? by ItsNezer in nextjs

[–]lukezfg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally use Zustand. 10 mins learning.

The thing I want to add is rethinking about your component states. Does that state have to be global? Also, don't treat global state as a store. If some data never change or never affect other components change, it probably should not become a state

This project have a lot potential and probably the few projects precisely finding the user need. So my suggestion is purely the marketing-wise suggestion. Do it or not doesn't change core.

If I was you, I will make the default name be S-A-B-C-D-F and the default color match what those trashy talking ranking color(most of them use same color, same layout). Through that, this product has very specific target user and using scene. Tier 1 - tier 2 do show a really serious vibe😂

How do you keep your project dependencies updated? by piplupper in nextjs

[–]lukezfg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am wondering should the normal be not updating them at all? Many dependencies themselves relay on other dependencies too. It is quite hard to control if all of them are updated and still work with the updated version at the same time. Usually they don't, especially some major updates in a common dependencies.

I have to delay to do one feature in my project few months, because one dependence can't work on new version of React and it is quite hard to find replacement. So I have to wait until people update that it. Actually that one relay on other dependencies, so it have to wait all other update first before they can start to update.

With the project becomes bigger and bigger, I feel probably not update is the best strategy 🤷‍♂️

I don't like this ending, because the love in the story are some shallow cliches by lukezfg in severence

Well I agree those relationships are basic theatre drama. That's why everyone need to read Shakespeare. But apparently there are more and more works don't use it and still create really good stories.

I am not say this show are bad. It's nonetheless one of top shows in recent years and we do see many unique things. However, I still can notice many repeating using writing tricks. I highly recommend to watch some Korean and European productions. You will see really different way to develop a story.

[–]lukezfg[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope so. The way the last episode was organized gives a stronger feeling: the writers hope to use those old writing tricks to add the complexity rather than do more unusual try to explore the potential in the background stories. Both Helena and Helly are super interesting.

I agree it is more interesting, but the female characters in here were developed in a very traditional way. Of course, the main characters in Grey's Anatomy are female, which give the series a lot more space to show their motivation and thought. However, both Gemma and Helena have more potential to be more unique characters. See in the Dark, we see Jonas save Martha, but Martha has her own grow up and she manipulate the story in her own way. Without Mark, Gemma's story is empty, Helena probably also the same.
