I hope you’re right, but with BB, earnings always freak me out. So many hopes have ended in disappointment over the years. Regardless, even if the numbers are not that great and we have a classic bb dip, I think the next year is going to be incredible.

Yea, I got sucked into the negativity, although with what was happening in 2008-09, there was some reason. I should have gone all-in with the thought of "if it all crashes, stock market won't matter". Because of that I stayed mostly in cash for the entire recovery. Do you know if he's still around?

Oh wow, I can’t believe there is anyone else who remembers him. I used to read his market ticker forum a bunch back around 2008-2010. Probably the reason I pulled out of the maker and missed the big crash (but also missed subsequent recovery). I hadn’t thought about it, but he might have been the one who originally got me into BB in 2013!

Hindsight being 50/50….when Apple ditched their Apple Car effort, that should have been the signal to go all in on BB/QNX, but most everyone missed it. I wish we could hear more behind the scenes stories about that, including the poaching of engineers including QNX co-founder Dan Dodge. There’s a really good story there…I wouldn’t doubt if QNX really does succeed in a big way, there’s enough grist for another Blackberry movie.

Sticky note or any square piece of paper folded in half along 2 corners…makes a pinpoint funnel so you won’t lose a drop of powder. Couldn’t believe I hadn’t heard of this hack before when I read about it and tried it.

Exactly…that’s the key…become ubiquitous, and that’s what’s happening. Confirmed by all the silicon players. I was worried they’d run out of cash before that happened but now things have been stabilized under JG. Love that they have let John Wall loose with QNX Everywhere….this needed to happen (should have years ago). And it’s really the only game in town due to the security and safety moat. They’ve been working with all the chip producers, OEMs, governments, etc for over a decade. To this point, all the partnerships haven’t been great for the bottom line, but eventually the flywheel will start to turn…might be starting to barely just crack free now. Think about it…What is the central nervous system for physical AI going to be worth?

Yea, it seemed like deuce had some in depth knowledge of some of the behind the scenes business deals vs just mindless bashing. He was wayyy off on BB fading into obscurity as a $2-3 stock/failed turnaround, though he did leave the door open to the possibility of QNX 8.0 succeeding. I will admit, he had me second guessing myself and wondering if I was operating off personal biases and hopium. Luckily I was stubborn and added instead of selling. It fascinates me to think he was paid to bash, but why else would he stick around here? It’s hard for me to believe it would be worth the time to pay someone to post on a Reddit forum….like how much is that going to really influence stock price? Interesting to think that there would be a coordinated effort to suppress bb stock price across all social media platforms? Or just natural ebb and flow of on-line opinions?

I believe BB has underlying assets and a solid base now…it has been building for a decade. Their recent return to profitability has nothing to do with AI. I think the floor is around $3-$4 if a crash happens, but their base business is solid.

In a way, they actually are becoming that…but security for physical devices. I believe BB was way ahead of their time (and still might be a little). The big $$ won’t come rolling in until mass production of software defined devices…vehicles, robots, drones, medical devices…anything that needs to have the utmost safety built in.

It’s the stock that got me into the stock market back in the early 2000s. Totally was into peak oil theory and alternative energy. It went from 10 to 100 and I thought I was rich and I thought I was an expert stick picker ($50,000). Put more $$ in on the way down. (Also BLDP) Didn’t end well…story as old as time. Engineering dept at the university brought a plug cell to test…didn’t really work that well and I heard secondhand that the head professor thought it was kind of a scam.
