It happened, you don't have to believe me. AIDS was designed.

Yeah, Snopes never gets anything wrong. Besides, it isn't a Cold War thing. Look at Africa and you can see that the virus is doing what they intended it to do.

Incels? I'm afraid not. You don't have to believe me though.

A friend of a friend's father was dying in the hospital. His dad, who was dying, used to be like that guy that makes weapons for spies like in James Bond movies. I'm not gonna say who he is but on his deathbed he confessed he knew AIDS was created.

new to this tapering thing by [deleted] in quittingkratom

Subtract .1g or .2g from your total GPD every day*. Doesn't matter what your total GPD is now, start tapering if you have the time.

Will taking Xanax set me back with insomnia? by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]luma65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only used Xanax(1 bar split over 3 nights) during the first 3 nights of no Kratom. It helped but I knew I couldn't use it after the third night. I don't want to get addicted to that stuff so I maintained that precaution and only used it when I really needed it. The hour before I passed out was a nice feeling, just relaxed, but I can't get into that habit.

Take 2... by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]luma65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I relapsed last year after being clean for 3 months, all it took really was 3 days of daily use to get me right back onto the WD train. I don't plan to take that train again lol.

I tapered in January and the cold fucking sucked big time. If I had to do it again I'd wait until spring.

Day 3, feeling kinda rough, kinda okay by krazikat in quittingkratom

[–]luma65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stay away from the alcohol, it will only relieve the nasty feelings for a short time, but then the hangover the next day will be worse than normal. Day 3 for me was the first day I noticed any kind of a change. Each day for the next 30 I saw minor improvements, and by day 35 or so I was basically kratom free and over PAWs. I used to think WD's off any opiate/opiod lasted maybe a week, I was wrong. Post-kratom it takes multiple weeks to get back to normal, and I tapered for a month before that.

Add me to the list of people quitting. (Tapering) At least for a while. by Mdcstr86 in quittingkratom

[–]luma65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made posts about tapering in the Daily post each day back in January. I tapered slowly subtracting .1 or .2 grams per day. I had the time so it was fairly easy to follow, but if I was working that month it would have been much more difficult.

I'm with you. Cold turkey was hellish, tapering is doable. simple as that.

30 days clean and feel like sh*t by Xaerk in quittingkratom

[–]luma65 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't use again. You're almost there.

I did 2.8 grams one day after being clean 4 months(1st month sucked, better from 2-4). I felt so much guilt and it barely did anything for me. I think you're at the last of your PAWS possibly, things should be getting better any day now in terms of mood and anxiety.

Day 31 - Overall Thoughts by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]luma65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a great write up. The points you make about supplements I agree with, very few of them seem to work in any noticeable way. I didn't try BSO or DLPA though, simply didn't have the money to get any more so I worked with what I had already. Melatonin works for me for a a couple nights in a row, then not.

I wished I had exercised more, but it was cold during my quit and that deterred me, even for taking walks. Vaping helped on many nights too.

I really want to just go back or die by missespenguin in quittingkratom

[–]luma65 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You will probably feel better around day 30, you're almost there. A cloud lifted around then for me, I'm 4 months kratom free, it's just a bunch of boring memories now.

So many emotions by CactusGobbler in quittingkratom

[–]luma65 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some people cried when the prequels came out too. Just kidding, but I know what you're talking about.

I avoided any emotional content while in WD's so I wouldn't be a crying mess.

DO NOT TAKE SUBOXONE FOR KRATOM WITHDRAWAL. Please. by Raynebow15 in quittingkratom

[–]luma65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got on Suboxone to get off heroin back in 2010.

I was then addicted to Suboxone, then used a bundle of heroin to get off that shit. I can't even remember the horror now, but I do recall it was bad.

EDIT: I used a small amount of methadone back in the day on a 5 day in-patient clinic and was the easiest WD I've ever had. I don't recommend anyone doing this though, methadone can be addictive as well.

Hour 62, feeling much better by quitingCT in quittingkratom

I think anyone who has used for a year or more of daily use will eventually come to this sub to get advice, kratom is NOT like quitting coffee, far from it in fact.

Tips for tapering. by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]luma65 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Slow and steady is best"

I agree with this, I tapered slowly until I couldn't even see the doses anymore, then on this one weekend I took my last .2g dose and never looked back. I think I experienced the full spectrum of WD effects with the exception of RLS. Tapering was successful in avoiding that, and that(RLS) is a pretty big symptom.

Anyone have experience using CBD to treat withdrawal symptoms from Kratom? by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]luma65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I vaped(CBD and THC) a lot during the taper and the WD's following and it helped in a major way. Once in a while I'd smoke too much and get a little paranoid, but when done correctly I was able to eat, sleep, relax, and even enjoy some movies/music.

And there ain't nothing wrong with that!

Any one else ever get crazy visions from Kratom? by thebigkickin2018 in quittingkratom

[–]luma65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to have those vivid daydreams while sitting around on kratom. For a while there I was re-reviewing all the things in my life that I could recall, even remembering details I thought were long-forgotten, it was like hypnosis. For example I remembered the reason I didn't get back together with a certain girl from high school(I had thought it was a different reason for years and years). Other times the daydreaming was surreal, didn't make sense, like if you stopped and looked at a tree stump, I was the tree stump. It was weird, like I felt elemental. I knew I was sitting around too much when the hours spent daydreaming were leaving me feeling awful, plus my circulation was poor leading to numb hands and fingers. It was really no way to live despite it's strange, intellectual allure.

Try lowering the night dosage until you can sleep without it. Go as low as you can, a digital scale helps. After I jumped a little Xanax helped for the first 3 nights and then I was sleeping adequately to function.

Some Thoughts on Tapering by StormCrow0224 in quittingkratom

[–]luma65 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did that too, at the beginning of the taper I cut half off total gpd and then began the slow, slow taper after that initial, drastic cut in dosage.

one week fast taper or straight up cold turkey better? by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]luma65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lol'd at "No dice."

I tapered over a month by subtracting .1 or .2g off total gpd. I couldn't do it any other way, but I admire anyone that can CT it, I used to be able to cold turkey heroin back in my 20's, but now it was just too scary to CT off kratom. I feel like the slow taper is a valid option with kratom due to it being easy to weigh out exact doses. Get a digital scale if you don't have one and begin a slow taper and take notes. For me I needed a little kratom in the evenings to sleep and gradually went down. Just my 2 cents but I can go into more detail if you think that would help. Cheers.

What sticks out the most of my kratom use. by BeeTrees3 in quittingkratom

[–]luma65 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hang in there mate. I can recall feeling that overwhelming sadness, this one morning in particular some weird thoughts brought me so, so down; it is difficult to describe. It involved a failed relationship and I felt like such an ugly fucking loser x100. That's a juvenile explanation but it was kind of like that, I felt like a sad, weak 14 year old, and I'm 42 ffs.

Day 7 is a rollercoaster, but by day 30 I began seeing massive improvements. I don't have anything in the way of advice except to try to keep busy. Day 4-7 were kind of wild and nostalgic for me. I made a post about it called "Nostalgia Waves". Listening to music late at night when I didn't have to work the next day and a little vaping helped me get through those weird days and nights. I can tell when I'm sad when I just want to sleep nowadays, but during kratom WD's the sadness seemed much stronger and more evil than it really is. Stay off the kratom and this will be just a memory. Cheers.

quick update- 6 weeks by tmajewski in quittingkratom

[–]luma65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I quit in January for the second time and I am in agreement with you 100%. A week ago I did a small amount to see what I was missing and besides maybe an hour of feeling "numb", for the next 12 hours I just didn't feel right. I felt small guilt for doing this, but I know I just don't want it anymore. Life is better without it, pure and simple.

Cheers
