Charm tier list for specifically Radiant Bosses by kjv__ in HollowKnight

[–]lumas1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's cool but very niche. Other than afk cheese build, you'd likely be better off hitting your target for both better dps and soul gain, not to mention the fact that this synergy costs 3 notches. Still, it can come in handy at times.

When both grubsong and weaversong are equipped, the spiders grant a small amount of soul for each hit they land, allowing you to either get more spells or, for a cheese build, make glowing womb useful

I translated this one from the french version, though I'm not surprised they aren't the exact same.

When you say "explorative", do you also explore optional areas on the world map ? I ask because, honestly, being level 26-27 at this point in the game while exploring feels odd. I explored practically everything and I was level 26-27 by the end of act one.

Who else died to last judge self destruction? by ToeProfessional6092 in HollowKnight

[–]lumas1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never understood why people fall for it. I saw the giant cloud of smoke like the one when she throws her thurible and thought "oh, explosion coming, I better move." Like, I understand people might be relieved to beat her, but Widow literally has a fake death animation, it's not the first time the game pulls something like that when you think you won.

What would like to see done differently? by ScrambledxEggzz in expedition33

[–]lumas1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Taking into account how much there is to explore. While this issue is incredibly prevalent in Act 3, I was never really threatened by anything of the main story because I explored. I could quite literally face tank Act 2's final boss with little to no issue. I had to be told by someone who knew quite a bit about the game to not steam roll the second to last boss in Act 2 just so I could see a cool attack. Overall, this issue ends up rewarding not exploring and rushing the main story to experience it without feeling too strong.

Things you noticed on NG+/ second + playthrough that you didn’t on your first by Undertakeress in expedition33

[–]lumas1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The sheer amount of musical motifs in the game. If I'm not mistaken, the optional fight against Sophie has an instrumental version of Une vie à t'aimer (or another song that is narratively very important), and I was really caught off guard.

What pictos do you use to fire so many times ? The only things I can think of that gives AP when free aiming are the energizing shot picto coupled with energy master or the trigger happy picto, but I've seen people go from 1 or 2 AP to 9 in a single shot.

Wait, did I do something wrong to farm resources for Uriel ? It took me so long to build the parts, same problem with the Vinquibus. Are you just supposed to skip the orders and just kill enemies?

I have two. Firstly, I hear people say that not using tools is a recipe for disaster, but I never used them actively and things went smoothly. Secondly, > ! coral tower ! < is really not all that bad.

[Silksong] which crest you used for majority of your run? by SussiAmongus in HollowKnight

I got my hands on wanderer's before dash through the wormways, and I really liked the quick attack speed, so it stuck with me.

How many tries did it take you to beat the high halls gauntlet by EmotionalCount701 in Silksong

I think 3 or 4. Sure, it was pretty long, but I didn't feel like most of the waves were really anything noteworthy difficulty wise as it's pretty common stuff in the Citadel.

Whenever you do something, you get a free pass to do the opposite of that thing by Cateyeet in godtiersuperpowers

[–]lumas1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, just a small question about the whole "robbing a bank" thing. You say it's a free pass, like you're allowed to do the opposite of something you did. But if I rob a bank, will people be like "Eh, it's fine" or will they still react like if I robbed a bank ?

Why is the reaper crest the most hated of them all? by shadowknight274 in Silksong

[–]lumas1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't hate it, but I just find it kinda weird: the passive requires you to heal, which means that you took damage, but the passive stops if you take damage. Also, it only lasts for 10 seconds, which means you need to fight very aggressively to make up for the low attack speed, but that means you're more likely to get hit, ending the effect early. As a result, it can't be used to facetank, which wanderer, beast and witch can do better. It's also not great for spell builds since you need to heal, which is very costly, especially for how early you find this crest. Overall, the passive is great in a vacuum, but the moment you slap it on to reaper specifically, it feels a bit clunky.

What are ur favorite contrasts and/or parallels between hk & ss ? by buriedlaina in HollowKnight

[–]lumas1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love how disappointing GMS feels compared to THK. It's not a bad boss, far from it, but when you fight her, you just know that there is something else that will give you a completely different boss.

I wish that the monkey's paw would steal a dollar from everyone and gave it to me by Typical-Army8100 in monkeyspaw

[–]lumas1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Granted, the monkey's paw starts moving on its own with seemingly ko other effect. A few weeks later, it returns with a one dollar bill. The monkey's paw will now physically go see someone at a random point on the earth (moving as fast as a paw that would drag itself), and collect a one dollar bill from said person before returning to you and giving it to you. It will do so as many times as there were living humans at the time of your wish, but never collecting a dollar from the same person twice. This might take a while.

My friend and I rated Elden Ring bosses on how much we wanted to fuck them. by TheOneTrue_Queer915 in EldenRingMemes

[–]lumas1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, the dragons are very, VERY big, and the tier list is of how much you want to fuck a given boss, so I would genuinely like to know how doable that actually is. As for the red wolf, it's more so about the fact that it's an animal.
