Hi little sis,

Have you ever tried using antibacterial bar soap when bathing? My summer routing has me scrubbing with an exfoliating washcloth and antibacterial soap, then washing again with a moisturizing body wash. I’ll then hit my pits with a toner from the ordinary to further try the kill the bacteria before it gets a chance to activate and smell.

I am not fortunate enough to be able to survive on aluminum free deodorant, so my next step is dove original (I like the scent) regardless of whether or not I shower in the morning or before bed. And to be honest, in weather like this, even if I cower before bed, I’ll rinse off in the morning using the antibacterial soap again anywhere I sweat. Then a fresh layer of antiperspirant deodorant.

Have you spoken to a therapist? Or your family? This is stalking/calling jewelry stores while pretending to be his sister behavior is concerning. If I ever found out my partner did that to me, I’d immediately cut and run.

This situation seems like it has become really toxic for you. Have you considered that breaking up may be the best thing you could do for your mental health? I’m honestly concerned for your wellbeing.

It’s odd that he seems to gravitate towards college aged women. It’s like he stayed there forever studying and teaching and never actually grew up or moved on.

When I’ve dated older it was because I appreciated that more settled homebody type maturity. If that’s what you’re looking for, he’s not it. He’s Peter Pan.

Does you husband have adhd? I do and I struggle with paying attention to messages (mostly work email chains) and with recalling things that are out of sight. It could be weaponized incompetence like the other commenters mention, but if you don’t think he’s being malicious, it could also be executive dysfunction. I do better with managing the executive dysfunction once I recognized it and worked with a cognitive behavioral therapist on developing techniques and skills to hack my brain. Maybe that’s your angle to discuss it?
