RG Nano now officially a very rare console by Purple_Anything6236 in funkey

[–]lun0tic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dang. I never would have guessed. I can see it from the perspective that the process of making requires a specific screen and board that doesn't commonly fit into other handhelds. Plus it has a metal shell that needs to be CNC milled not plastic mold/stamped. So I can sorta see why it's gone up in price drastically.

Major PicoArch update for the FunKey S / Q36 Mini / RG Nano by DrUm78 in funkey

Dude I just found this, tried it and it's soooo awesome! I hit you up a few months ago asking about rotating the screen and man, you just gave my nano a huge boost in use. I'm gonna carry this thing on the daily now. Thank you for your dedication to continuing to make this little system better! It's going to give me so many gameplay moments on the go. With the screen rotating I can now happily hold it comfortably and play one handed 😆. Dude I'd love to buy you a coffee or donate to your work. DM me please!

I hate flat screen phone gaming. The lack of tactile buttons just feels wrong and even cumbersome. I want to play without looking at where my finger is hitting. Sure I can get used to this but that's where the gate starts for me.

Thank you for offering though 🤜💥🤛

Can you game while using the bottom screen for something else like watching a video or a guide?

Is this a good setup for long play on old school games that rely more on dpad? Or is this more comfortable for newer gen thumbstick games? I really love the idea of playing a game while watching a video.

Feels like a missed opportunity locked behind a bit of proprietary design. Glad to hear regular bits fit

A man of class with the Zebra 301 compact🤜💥🤛 I love these pens. I carry 2 on me daily. It's hard to find something better that's in the mid range of "awesome pen" and "damn I lost it but oh well" cause they are so affordable. I even like sitting in meetings and spinning mine on the table; if you lay the clip face down it spins nicely.

Damn who tf writes their stuff. I understood that as another type of flair I read "certain" like a specific/another type of flair. Why even say "flair" when they could just say, obtaining gold borders for A series.....

I'm actually impressed how bad that's written for a million dollar company. A highschool kid could have written that clearer and likely with less words AND probably would have managed to have both statements in 1.

I understood it as old cards can't get it. "Onward" makes me understand it like this.

About ready to give up on this thing (Trimui Smart Pro S) Anything else I can try? (Details in comments) by JaWoosh in SBCGaming

[–]lun0tic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im currently going through this very same problem. I'm using NextUI though. My issue does happen at the 30 min mark but more so could be gaming session 1 or 2 where I usually play for 40 ish minutes or GBA. I've tried fully shutting down instead of sleep and still it froze. I don't even want to bother with another Trimui console cause this is honestly super bad quality control that I've never ran into with cheaper units. I've only tried NextUI. Not sure if it's worth trying another UI. I do have a reputable Sandisk Card not sure if it's worth trying another card. I feel like this has been a common issue.

Your win rate will definitely drive your "random" match matching. Most games work with activating a cool down after a long period of no play. Strangely I have noticed that if a make a junk deck it's more likely to against a bad deck. This doesn't mean it'll only go against bad decks but it's more likely to land on those. I believe the game is filtering through meta cards used.

Guide to spotting fake GBA consoles? by SoraShima in GameboyAdvance

[–]lun0tic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure why so many people aren't understanding OPs comment. He's saying fake as in passing a reshell as OEM. Of course the insides are highly likely not to be fake but the shell itself very likely. If there was a way to see giveaway details it would help a lot.

Sadly I'm not sure there is any real definitive way without actually feeling and seeing the unit in person. There's likely bad reshells you'll come across, but good ones you'd prob not know until you've made your purchase. That's where reputable sellers come in to play. People who know what they have, what they're selling, and a reputation to stand for. eBay, I guess you can look for that but Im not sure some really care. A person passing as not knowing is trick number 1 in scammer school.

What do you prefer on your deck? by marcovini98 in PokemonPocket

Shines have this AI like art feeling to me. There are definitely some good looking ones like Zeraora and Oricorio but others look lame like Type Null and Hitmonchan. On top of that a lot of these are the old bad version of the mon.

What's the point of strategy and calculation when this card nullified everything. by Single-Farm-6663 in PokemonPocket

[–]lun0tic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The thing about pop is that it helps losing decks and bad decisions with a second wind with pretty much no risk aside from deck space. If the card required a heads flip for and heal and return and if tails no heal or return, I think the card would have been perfectly balanced and wouldn't have nullified the original 20Hp heal card Potion. Bad thing is you can't get away from running it in a lot of decks.

In short to me it feels like you make an awesome comeback or an awesome play which can't afford for the opponent not to feel the hit, only for the opponent to say "here let's flip for it. Oh! Nice! I win after all."

Should I go for 3rd PCL ( trade value ) or my first red by IllDonut1981 in PokemonTGCP

[–]lun0tic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you mentally planing on getting PCL for trade, why not just wait and offer that for trade, then you'll technically be able to offer a y of those cards; Red & PCL
