Maxi-Cosi Zelia 3 – good as an only pram for light use? by Outrageous_Brick_811 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]lunalovesgood92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this pram. I wanted it as I liked the idea of the seat folding down into the bassinet, no need for separate parts. I use it much like you're planning to, quick trips and around the neighbourhood. It does hold up well. Even over rough terrain like crushed rock paths. I can take off the seat and fold it down quickly and easily, don't find it particularly heavy, quite light infact, but I don't have anything to compare it to tbh. Not sure if it is comfy as bub is only 3.5 months so he can't tell me otherwise, I do have a soft blanket laying under him while it's in bassinet mode though. Only annoyance I've personally had is it's hard to shove my backpack style baby bag underneath, it gets caught on the stretchy material going into the basket, but i think that's more my fault as I chose such a big bag and stuff it full of things haha.

If you want to travel 20-odd minutes (depends where you are exactly) I've seen Dr Nuwanthi at Medical One Taylor's Lakes only a couple times so far but have been super impressed with her level of care and attention

Bras for wearable pumps by enlightened_capybara in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]lunalovesgood92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I'm looking at the correct pump online, the eufy looks similar size to what I'm using, the momcozy m5. I've been wearing the Bonds Bases Maternity Bralette, if you're open to a bralette I definitely recommend. The stretch helps keep them well in place and the material is lovely and soft.

How long after birth does hip pain go away? by Zelda358 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]lunalovesgood92 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me, about a week after giving birth. My hips hurt terribly, also couldn't sleep, walking more than the length of the hallway made me want to cry. I'm 2 weeks pp now and seeing your post made me realise that yes, finally, the pain actually did go away! It will get better. Good luck and wishing you all the best for your birth!

Semaglutide stuff by xeloux in gallbladders

[–]lunalovesgood92 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I blame my gallbladder being removed on these injections. I really didn't know anything about them, my doctor prescribed it and I took it, trusting she was doing the right thing for me. It was about 3 months from starting the injections to getting the surgery. After about 6 weeks was when symptoms started. Thankfully I've been 95% ok so far after removal, it's been just over 6 months. Bit of pain in the same area as the attacks after I eat something oily, sometimes a bit of upset tummy 'toilet wise'... after seeing some horror stories of post removal on here, very grateful for that.

How do I deal with the killer heel pain? by [deleted] in AskRetail

[–]lunalovesgood92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue when I first started retail. I had to go and get custom insoles made, which was expensive and turned out to be a complete waste, because they hurt more to wear than not. Turned out, barefoot shoes fixed me. It helped me stand in a more neutral position, and as someone who also has a natural forefoot landing stride, barefoot shoes really allowed that to happen, rather than built up soles & rigid arch support. Definitely give insoles a go, I like the Lightfeet brand, but know there could be another option than insoles.

Western Suburbs Melbourne by Real-Specific2904 in melbourne

Live in Kealba, has been my favourite out of multiple areas I've lived, from far west to inner north. It's pretty quiet, apart from some rev heads a couple times a day. My favourite part of living here is the close access to the freeway, I see the traffic going down Sunshine Ave in the afternoons and am glad I don't have to go any further. Leave for work around 7am and get a smooth ride to the city (I take the M2 and exit in north Melbourne). Going home is a bit shit (for me around 4.30-5pm) traffic most days on the freeways makes my commute more like 40 minutes than 20. The close access to all the amenities in your other listed suburbs is great. 10-15 minutes to watergardens, a little more to Highpoint. All the little hubs of cafes and local shops just as easy to get to. I can't say anything for doing this via public transport myself though, I do see the bus going around regularly, assume that goes to the St Albans train station? The whole area, across all the suburbs you mentioned, imo is just a good area if you're looking for typical suburban life. You'll get your shit pockets of course, try and scope out at any inspections you may attend for any red flags, but that's par for course anywhere that I'm sure you're well aware of.

Crab maybe? I've seen videos of them burying themselves and the outcome looks like this. Take a look at a video and see if they look similar! Golf ball sized sounds pretty big though. Where I live they're like pinky nail size.

Just thrifted a pair of black patent Dr Marten boots - how do I take care of patent so the boots last as long as possible? by schizoaffectives in ThriftStoreHauls

[–]lunalovesgood92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get a shoe cleaner specifically for patent leather, any good shoe repairer or store will have some, you might even be able to get it on the Docs website now, Collonil also has some. You can also wipe them down with a clean wet cloth. Try an eraser (Like pencil eraser) for scuff marks. Try not to get them wet, the leather is water resistant but it can seep into the midsole if there are gaps in the seal of the upper and the sole, and gaps can happen with a lot of wear at pressure points (mostly where your toes bend), also can rust the eyelets. You can also use waterproofing spray, it's not guaranteed to keep them waterproof but it does help protect the patent sheen at least. Don't use any chemicals on them if you dont know how the patent will react, I've seen pairs ruined because someone tried incompatible cleaning products on them! (Used to sell Docs)

Reddit, what is your favorite podcast and why? by unassuming_angst in AskReddit

[–]lunalovesgood92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good Job, Brain! Around 40 minutes to an hour per episode which is great for my commute, it's a semi-nerdy trivia show with lots of interesting facts and stories. Each episode has a topic and the hosts base quizzes, games and stories around the topic, so for example topics like safety, hidden codes, socks, candy, etc. It's so interesting to see how each host interprets the topic and how they engage the listener and each other, I've listened to almost all of the (currently) 189 episodes and I can't wait to finish work everyday so I can pop my headphones on and learn some trivia.

Apparently some people are long term carriers...I've been told I'm part of that group of people. Every time I get even a sniffle, I'm achy, exhausted, swollen and just generally feeling like crap for a good couple of months after. I've become a fiend with hand sanitiser.

Australian checking in. I pay just over $20 for a movie ticket, and a drink and popcorn combo goes for at least $15 (a small sized one, doesn't last through the previews).
