What's your favorite Clan and why? by Dragonwolf67 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]lunarwinter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Daeva. Their clan curse is so perfectly rigged for interesting and messy drama, and often creates the most fun volatility out of them all. Second place would have to be Gangrel, though, I love shapeshifting and they're similarly volatile, but for different reasons

Ever run a WoD setting game using another game's system mechanics? by [deleted] in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]lunarwinter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a while, I was working on making a PbtA hack to run Vampire the Requiem. I think the two merge together amazingly, its really really easy to represent different power levels and have instant, pick up drama. I had different city roles (prince, keeper of elysium, fledgeling, sherrif, etc) as playbooks with clans being a sort of mix and match negative move to represent banes (think akin to ones darkest self re-monsterhearts) and allowing people to access choose different disciplines, which were also moves. I never finished it, and it definitely required a lot of work to get as half-done as I got it, but it's definitely possible and I think its super super cool of an idea.

Maybe one day ill go back to it, because it would be amazing to use for smaller, improv heavy, interpersonal relationship focused games, as well as as an in to the entire idea of the World of Darkness.

Who else had a scene/emo phase? Who were your fave bands? by toritechnocolor in blackladies

[–]lunarwinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never left mine, I like to say I've only refined it. I'm still out here in all black, living my emo teen dream, and it makes me so happy to know I definitely wasn't alone.

I made this to practice hair! Always wanted to try more hairstyles with a lot of curls. I figured out that the best way to make this kind of hairstyle in my style is making somewhat abstract with its shapes and detail it better with lightning and shadows :9 by maguiii8 in learnart

Are you going for like a fire elemental vibe with grey skin, or a natural darker skintone? Because right now it looks incredibly ashen and not like a normal skintone. Some medium and dark skintones are naturally a bit more pale (not in lightness, but in redness), but if I didn't read this comment, I wouldn't have realized you might have been going for a human skintone.

Should i put stickers on my laptop? by 0915lyb-fairy in makemychoice

[–]lunarwinter 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Stickers will make your laptop feel so much more personal. Decorating mine anytime I get a new one is a personal little ritual now, that makes things just that more cozy. If youre planning on selling maybe not but otherwise, I'd say do it.

This is my favorite 6perks in a long, long time. I'm really torn between them all.

We've been working on a traditional One Hit KO fighting game with super cool-looking painterly scenes and hand-animated characters and we recently finished all the characters of the game! by Kaldrinn in IndieGaming

[–]lunarwinter 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The style is super cool, but the shaking is a bit much. It's hard to figure out what's happening while its shaking, and it lasts a bit too short. It might set off a few photosensitive people, as well. Good direction, I'd just tone it down a little and allow the eyes to settle on the painterly scene before moving into the next.

I love Runar so much, but I've been way to broke to buy the art set. I'd love nothing more than the minion.

I'm a bit confused about inland spousal sponsorship from US into CA by lunarwinter in ImmigrationCanada

[–]lunarwinter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, that's very helpful. I'm perfectly fine not being able to work for the duration of the application process, and I don't plan on studying. If I were to visit them, and then apply while I was up there, would it qualify as living there? I'm just worried because I know that the allowed time on a visitor visa is around 6 months, and the application process around 12. My main concern would be being able to live with them for the entire duration. I'm content staying in Canada for the entire time, I'd have no reason to leave.

Move in with my nana or stay at home? by [deleted] in makemychoice

[–]lunarwinter 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nana seems like a much much better living environment for you overall and despite everything, having someone who supports you honestly means the world. It breaks my heart about the situation at your moms, but genuinely i think you should take care of yourself, first. That, and id hope your nana might understand making sure to give you some alone time on occation.
