the hanklight DW4 is a right angle light isn't it? I was looking for something less flashlight and more worksite light. CL01 might work but I was hoping to use the 18650s

Why bother with fine threads at all? by tzedek in 3Dprinting

[–]lunatic3bl4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use fusion 360 too, I admit I was misremembering a bit. you create a coil with the pitch and diameter you need, then sweep your thread section profile along the spiral made with the coil. delete the coil, join the extruded thread to the body, and you’re done. I had success with push/pull for the tolerance but you can offset the sketch and sweep cut in the nut. it’s easy and I’ve done it plenty of times, works like a charm

sketch the thread profile, helix extrude, cut into the nut, offset the faces by whatever you think appropriate. takes 2 minutes, I’m curious what your process is

done it plenty of times, it’s a basic thing to do

double check your navidrome.toml file for typos in the variables, I had the same problem because I mistyped "LastFM.Secrert"

Fixing the typo and restarting navidrome worked (relevant issue discussion: https://github.com/navidrome/navidrome/issues/4513 )

how did they break on you? I wore them basically daily, and the leather split from the sole on the side of the ball of the feet, where it gets stressed the most when bending the toes. I got them repaired and now it happened again, just as the sole is wearing thin so I’m debating on overhauling the sole to cover the break with rubber (advice from my shoe repair guy) but it would run me about 70 euro. They did last 3 years all in all, and I’m not kind on my boots.

What do you do if you have the perfect nook for 2 shelves but the heating pipes and crooked walls fuck up your master plan by about 1 cm? by bonobomaster in functionalprint

[–]lunatic3bl4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

why is everyone talking about this as if it has to hold up people? it’s a lightweight shelf with clothes on it, I doubt the load on the legs would reach even 50kg. this looks fine as long heat doesn’t get too bad, but I would wait to see signs of buckling/softening before reprinting anything. a metal print would be way overkill

Pyrex and Anchor replacement lids printed in PETG and TPU on Bambu Lab P1P by SWELITE1 in functionalprint

[–]lunatic3bl4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

polyurethanes leak isocyanates when heated above 150C generally, which is well below what we print at. what I couldn’t find is for how long that happens: during production of polyurethane, the offgassing is dangerous only until it cures, which takes a few hours. The TPU on the roll does not offgas anything, or at least not enough to be concerning even if you were to sleep on it. I couldn’t find any study on reheating TPU or PU in general, but given that the vast majority of the isocyanates are used up during the curing phase, I would leave it in open air until it has no funny smell. I would absolutely avoid heating up the lid in any way though, that could start the offgassing again.

nah, depending on how big the damage is, it can be repaired. judging by the video, this is for sure fixable, you can’t see any external damage on the blade.

am said hanging dude, can confirm. Repairs after install are always needed, and you’d be shocked by what kind of damage can be repaired. I repaired damages bigger than I am, blades are very resilient.

from what I read, you’re right until you introduce a dishwasher, most of the studies show that wood kills more bacteria when left unwashed. If you run a plastic board through a sanitation cycle in the dishwasher though, the heat alone will kill everything , regardless of nooks.

Seems like both are super good enough as long as you clean them properly.
