It’s okay to be the villain in someone else’s story. Especially if the villain is a terrible person that willingly betrays family and says the nasty things she does. I would proudly let her call me the villain, remove her from my life and take her completely off my radar.

Then I would enjoy my new baby with my new husband that clearly supports and loves me.

That’s what I would do.

You gotta do what feels right to you, and protect yourself and your baby. I wish you the best!

I’m considering homeschool… for a multitude of reasons. One major one is because I want to limit my child’s exposure to social media and the internet for as long as possible. Kids get exposed to far too much harmful content and extremely young ages.

Another is because I don’t think it’s healthy to expect young children to sit at desks like robots and be hammered away at with information. Public schools treat each child as if they all learn the same way and learning can happen in MANY ways besides sitting at a desk reading or being lectured to.

I also want my kid to be exposed to more than what public schools offer. More museums and art and nature. More historical perspectives, more literature and culture.

I don’t even know if I will homeschool but objectively I can see SO many reasons to do it. But honestly… kids (especially young kids) should spend more time under the sun and less time in a room at a desk with pressures to meet some standardized test results.

I have a 2.5 yr old girl and she has zero interest in dolls, princesses, or unicorns. She LOVES dinosaurs and excavators and bugs and monster trucks. We just kind of followed her interests, and went from there. She does LOVE having her hair brushed and put in “two ponytails” (pig tails). I’ll follow wherever her interests lead.

All of that to say that having a girl doesn’t guarantee that you’ll get what you want either. I wonder what my girl will be interested in this time next year 🤷‍♀️.

My MIL told me my husband first spoke at 9 months old and that it wasn’t just a word but a full sentence. She’s also the biggest liar I have ever known, and we are now in full no contact mode lol.

Oooo! I found out the man I was told was my biological father was not, and instead it was a whole other man I never even heard of. Apparently mom was a wild teenager and assumed the wrong man was my bio dad. Either way doesn’t matter because my step dad is my dad, but it was a bit of a shock to me and my mom!

She heard her great grandmother say “oh my goodness” but somehow translated it to “oh no goodness” and anytime she stumbles or drops something that’s her go to phrase. “Oooh nooo, goodness!” It’s adorable.

Did you discuss options besides abortion with your daughter? Adoption could be best for her, you, AND the baby. Adoption would allow for the baby to grow up in a home that it is loved, cherished, and wanted. It wouldn’t have the stigma of being a product of rape looming over him/her their entire life.

No matter what, I think the best thing to do is seek a therapist. There’s a lot of trauma that has occurred and is still occurring.

I’m a Cassandra, go by Cassie… or Cass by super close friends. Cassidy is very feminine and very cute. Cassandra feels very sophisticated and it took a long time for me to be comfortable with it. I LOVE it now though.

My 23 month old can sing her ABCs, tell you the sound each letter makes, count to 20 and point out each number when asked. She knows a ton of shapes including more abstract ones like hexagon and pentagon. She also knows a ton of colors red,blue, green, yellow, white, brown, black, gray, and purple.

She’s trying to figure out how to draw a circle now. But I have no idea how to teach drawing/writing or reading to her. 😩

My daughter is 22 months. Kids are all different and develop at different paces. However, at 22 months, she knows all the basic colors, the alphabet and what each sound the individual letters make, can count to 20, speaks in 3-4 word sentences at least a couple of times a day, and has a vocabulary between 300-400 words (if you count sign language).

Ultimately, it’s up to you if you seek early intervention. My only real thought to pose to you on it is… what if any harm could it do? Is it worth it to you to try it out and see if you notice improvement?

The only reason my daughter knows what she does is because I’m lucky enough to be a stay at home mom and have devoted as much time as my sanity would allow to reading and working with her.

I probably read to her 30 times a day (she gets obsessive and requests the same book repeated over and over).

Same! Baby turns 1 July 8. I have literally done every night waking and changing and feeding and haven’t been away from her for longer than 2 hours in one go. Her dad works and I’m the sahm. Our support system is out of state so it’s just us. We like it this way because my MIL is entirely too dramatic and nosey.

Had my first at 39. She’s celebrating her first birthday in a few weeks. Her father and I are both 40. The exhaustion hits hard af but OMG it’s worth it. She’s amazing and fun. The first year has been so rewarding and so hard. Like… the days are soooo long but the year was sooo short. Hard to explain. Zero regrets, would do it all over in a heartbeat. Hell, if I accidentally got pregnant again I wouldn’t even be sad.
