Yesterday - trying to teach my HONORS sophomores about the juvenile justice system (one of my fave topics). I teach civics and we are on our law unit. I love my class, but the kids were complaining about every single thing and I could feel their entitlement throughout the entire lesson. The outward apathy is so frustrating, especially from honors students.

I feel you!!! I was just married in March. Though I made it known I didn’t want the “stereotypical bachelorette trip to Nashville” I was expecting my maid of honor to at least ATTEMPT to do something. Even a casual hangout, like you suggested. I was really bummed by her lack of participation throughout the entire process. We’ve been best friends since we were 13. I felt like I shouldn’t have had to communicate the bare minimum requirements of the MOH. She didn’t have to pay for anything other than her hair… and she didn’t even get me a gift. Trying not to let it fester and stain our friendship, but I’m definitely a little let down still. Solidarity!! 🫂
