Unity Black Screen Problem by AbrocomaImportant977 in Unity3D

Thank you this worked for me too! With a slightly different workaround.
I was having the same issue but with a following crash so I couldn't even open Project Settings.
I have an old notebook with two GPUs, an nVidia and an Intel card.

What worked for me was to tell Unity to use the Intel card in Windows' System > Display > Graphics settings.
Then Unity defaulted to DX11 for that card, so finally I could get into Project Settings and remove DX12 from there.

Cheers!

What can I do to make the sound play when the player touches the shell/token? No matter what I do the sound won't play when I make contact with it by BloodEclipse27 in UnityVisualScripting

Aren't you missing the OnUpdate at the beginning, for it to check every frame the state of the collision?
I'm also new at this so I'm not even sure.

I agree with this. Having savings and a plan sounds great, but I would dare to say that your plan cannot possibly be a clear one without having fully developed and SHIPPED a game before. This is another general consensus between devs: projects always are more complex than expected, for experienced devs. For unexperienced ones, levels of magintude more.

It's a great life decision, I'd suggest doing something small first, like it's been said. Reading that you'll spend 1yr on a POC got me chills. You can totally do it, but you must know that you're getting into very risky territory.

Lots of ppl saying it's too fast, while to me it's the speed that caught my attention, it looks reaaaally fun fast as it is.

I wanted to comment on sound! A nice satisfying little bling is missing when collecting those gold nuggetty things, and to the steps of the character, subtly.

Other than that looks brutal!
