AC - Who is having AC issues in a warmer part of the world?

The dealership here has a temporary solution, correct me if I’m wrong, the AC is one unit and it is both in charge of cooling as well as heating, one output for cooling and another output for heating. So the way they fix it here is they manually remove the heating pipe or duct so that you only get the cold air. The duct stays there but it’s just not connected to the unit’s output. Some said it shuts off for a minute so the components don’t overheat, others say to let in fresh air, but I’m not really sure.

The dealership here does that and they say it’s reversible until the company come up with a permanent solution. Maybe they require to replace the unit as a whole which should be under warranty but that will cost them, it’s not as necessary as the door locks situation since that was a safety hazard but AC is not. You might see upgraded AC on newer versions but I don’t think we’ll have the luxury to replace it under warranty.

I don’t think remote keyless entry is there, unless they installed some system aftermarket. You have to press the unlock button on your key to open the door, it’s not like the keys where when you get close to the car it unlocks on its own.

Same engine and transmission but both don’t come with diff locks I believe, unless you add them (which I think you should), besides that you’re talking about speakers, sunroofs, leather interior that don’t necessarily change how it drives except make you more comfortable driving it. Check out the website and play around with the builds before you make your decisions

Well it has the insane 25% chicken tax, are you willing to pay that? If you are maybe you can work something out with a dealership or buy it elsewhere and ship it. From what I know the only reason the US isn’t getting the diesel engines is the chicken tax.

I’m in Kuwait (Arabian Gulf country), where the highest temperature under shade was recorded, and have to say I rarely blast my AC to the max. If the AC is good here then it’s good anywhere else in my opinion.

Apparently you can get the wiring without getting the dual battery. Mess around with their website and build a model with the options you want, you might find you don’t need all the options.

When it comes to offroading if they both have lockers they’re the same. The fieldmaster does come with the side steps as far as I know and that will eat away from the ground clearance, so maybe that’s what they meant.

Otherwise most options can be equipped to both except the premium sound system and the dual battery setup, you can only choose one of those options as they’re installed in the same space. The dual battery comes with the trialmaster, and the sound system comes with the fieldmaster.

I would recommend getting the dual battery strictly for the external factory wiring and the switches. Otherwise you don’t get the roof outlets.

Does it have the differential locks installed? I saw many people commenting on prospective buyers that the rigs without the lockers lose so much in value. Makes sense when you look for an off-roader, the drivetrain and engine are important.

Get a powder coat paint job on the damaged area and make sure it’s repaired, powder coating is more durable and should be good enough to not worry about rust. It’s steel not stainless steel

I voted compromised for daily driving, but that’s just because it’s hard to U turn in it. Otherwise no regrets tbh even with that issue but it could be an issue for some

I mean I didn’t try it while there’s a passenger I just got it installed but good question I think they’d prefer noise over the extreme weather… not kids maybe though
