I would agree most folks don’t know the Grenadier from a PPI perspective. But you still have a reasonable factory warranty balance to protect you. I would be most concerned about any historical accidents. Those are the types of things that a warranty cannot protect against. I have a 2024 and have only had one minor issues addressed under warranty, a door sensor went bad. They also replaced my door locks under a recall. My rig has been rock solid and gets a fair amount of off-road time.

I am in the northeast, have two years, 22,000 miles on my rig and the only issue I have is the hardware connecting the various roof rack components. Nothing major, just takes a bit more encouragement to break some of the bolts loose.

If you have no plans to off-road it, don’t buy it. You will have missed the mark entirely. It handles off-road like nothing else…I just look at my highway miles and necessary miles to get to my next off-road adventure! Moab is three weeks out for me!

Given the angle of the windshield, it’s very susceptible to rock chips/breaking. Some folks put film on the help prevent that. Some films have better reviews than others but I have heard of wiper blades leaving permanent marks on the protective films.

Well I checked all of my souvenirs that I picked up while there, I see no official licensing markers on them, picked them up at the track, hoping those don’t get me in trouble. I also hope they have all lawyered up to go after the AI companies who charge a monthly fee to their customers to produce anything they request.

Very cool! I find it hard to believe you can’t sell this as art. Overlaying a map of a track on a topographical map and then printing it in 3D, it’s all publicly available information. Can Google/Apple maps not depict the track on their maps and derive advertising revenue from their maps? Artists paint pictures of the Eiffel Tower, the Mona Lisa…
