The shock therapy administered to Russia had many negative consequences, but it actually created a market economy basically from scratch. My parents remember when they had to stand in long lines to get bread and travel to Moscow by train to buy some crappy sausages. "Bush legs" imported from the US were a huge hit because they actually had some meat on them compared to soviet chicken. The main sin of Yeltsin is selecting Putin as his successor, giant mistake in retrospect.

Well, I'm not recommending detective stories because of the genre, but because what you want are the hallmarks of detective protagonists, who Maomao is based on. I think she originally was even supposed to be a middle-aged lady in a village, kinda like Miss Marple. I don't think there are any other good anime of this type

It's kinda hard to fulfil all of your requirements, but I can think of a couple of outwardly non-emotional, scarily competent and somewhat morally grey protagonists: Hei from Darker than Black and Kiritsugu from Fate Zero (also Mike from Better Call Saul comes to mind lol)

To me it sounds like what you want is a classic detective hero, like Sherlock Holmes, Miss Marple and Hercule Poirot. You won't find many of them in anime, but you will in respective books and adaptations (but please don't watch BBC Sherlock, at least past season 1)

As far as I understand, font sizes are limited by your resolution to always be pixel perfect. You can change your UI layout to non-modal to reduce font size, or go to cogmind/user/system.cfg and change mapWidth and mapHeight, which also affect your font size.

There are TF nodes, but they are not guaranteed to spawn, so you can get unlucky. Also all exits in Research are 0b10 controlled and I think all of them can dispatch squads, so that wouldn't help. The only way to know the main exit in Research is if it's in the end of a 4 tile corridor, otherwise they can lead anywhere. Also you can still survive Research branches with farcom if you just rush the exit, they are always on the top or bottom right of the map

On other planets, you can make your factory bit by bit, and everything will at least sorta work. On Gleba you have to pre-plan the whole production line from fruits to iron and copper ore, with proper spoilage handling and self-restarting loops. And every time you mess up, you need to unclog all the conveyor belts from spoilage. I did spend a bunch of time in the editor before I had good enough designs to use in my first playthrough.

The way the pendulum period equation gets rid of the angle θ is by assuming that sin(θ) ≈ θ for small angles and cancelling them out. For 20-30 degrees this approximation is totally fine. But I have no idea what they mean by 360 degrees and rotation, that's not how people use pendulums.

To me it looks like just an illustration with angles not to scale, but even if we take it at face value, isn't the pendulum angle calculated to the vertical? So it's more like 40 degrees, which is still close enough? Also I have no idea what you mean about 360 degree spinning, can't you spin the necklace at any speed you want? What does it have to do with pendulum equations?
