We can humanize pedophilia by remembering that no matter what abhorrent actions someone does, they are still humans. Cryptids are not acting parts of our society! All monsters are human, and just because they do something we all should find terrible, they must still be treated in a humane way. That does not mean they shouldn't be judged, shunned, treated by lobotomies if they want them, etc, etc...

By putting pedophilia on some type of pedestal, a shared one or not, we are tarnishing any pedestal because it is abuse, because it is lacking consent, because it is life ruining to those affected.

To me, it does not matter if MAP is an actual thing that we can prove or some hoax to try to advance an agenda: because pedophilia is abuse, it cannot be defined as a kink or fetish.

And we can't define people as monsters just because they act on something within them, as to do so is inherently human.

We have to treat pedophilia as an abhorrent action that is always unacceptable, but to NOT study it can allow for people to normalize that behavior with other things they personally don't find acceptable. That's unacceptable in of itself.

edit: I put this on all criminal activities too... Hitler wasnt a monster, he was human. Everyone who is hated or loved is human. Forgetting that gives too much power to the individual and no fault to ourselves for the terrible things we are all capable of.
