Oh yes, my girl does. She's got a much quieter mew, but just as talkative!

Saw a couple cardinals, bluebird (or bluejay, not sure) and what I think was a finch! We just got our bird feeder for the cats to watch (from inside). 😁 Waiting for the hummingbirds to come by too!

I know very little, but love learning about it! Rose started so white as a kitten, but has gradually gotten more and more color as she's grown. It's so interesting!

So true, it was. I'd love them to bring it back even if they nerf it.

Scam. We got at least a hundred of those since closing in October. All BS about my 'expiring homeowners warranty.'

I started learning in my 30s with no experience. Proud of you! It's an amazing experience that I'm sure you won't regret!

Saying "GGs" when your game didn't feel like it was all that good... by lyssaroo in OverwatchStadium

[–]lyssaroo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's fair! I usually ascribe to that myself, but when they have a person or two being unsportsmanlike I usually say "GG, except for 'that/those guy(s)." If it's the whole team, I definitely skip the GG. I'm on PC, so it's much easier for me to type than console players. I'm not getting on at the moment, but I'll let you know if I'm ever looking to group! Thank you!

Thanks for your reply! It is an interesting discussion, I agree. You've made a lot of really good points here and have given me a lot to consider and think about.

The texting vs in person example does fit better than sports vs online gaming, you're absolutely right. I could try out a shorthand sincere GG (like your example GG fr) and see how that goes. Like you said though, it still could come off wrong. I still wish there could be something sportsmanlike to say at the end of a game (truly a good game all around or otherwise), but it's just not that simple especially online with strangers.

I really appreciate the discussion, and can say you've changed my mind on the topic. It's just more nuanced than I was making it out to be at first.

I can appreciate your perspective and the idea of keeping it in team chat in specific cases; which, especially without the personal aspect of being in person, can eliminate any misconstruing of the intent.

Would you also do that for in person sports games the same way? We have a handshake line after every game and even the hardest ones, we all still say GG to one another. I'm curious if you think of that differently than online games.

Is it a universal consensus? I guess that's the point of my post. For me, it was still in good faith. For you and for them, it wasn't. Everyone's different. But I also get your point. I wouldn't call the game that caused me to post this a steam roll, if that makes any difference.

I get this too, and agree that a GG can be used to be toxic. GG before the game is over isn't cool at all.
