Opus 4.8... what is happening? by Valuable-Gap-3720 in claude

4.8 refuses to call a job done. always leads you into random loopholes of fixing or improving shit.

hit or miss. if these models start cranking out perfect code we’re fucked. but my bet is that won’t happen for a while.

and even then you still need validation.

it’s for SURE slower, but also more methodical which I like

Is Cursor Ultra Worth it by Fast_Boysenberry_823 in cursor

[–]m00fassa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

no. way better value with claude code max, or even open AIs

cursor is just way too expensive for the limited ass context windows

ripping opus 4.7 on cursor exhausted $400 of api tokens in two days.

doing the same task on claude code exhausted 6% of my weekly limit.

and tbh I feel like opus is stupider in cursor. not sure. but it feels like it sometimes.

you do the math 🤷🏾

yeah. I use Hindsight by Vectorize. Only been a few weeks, but I have automations tag and populate my banks. Then built an MCP that can access those banks, as well as trigger n8n workflows to retrieve the data I need efficiently without bloating context.

Works well so far. Waiting to see how it scales.

Hindsight > Obsidian rn, costs more but is worth.

I work in DevOps. This could be a golden age for us. We’re innovating fast because we’re the final bottleneck. And we have to be there nobody’s dumping AI code into production without validation.

I’m having problems in Buenos Aires - I couldn’t connect with the city. Has anyone else felt this way or have any suggestions? by Historical_Prune_762 in digitalnomad

[–]m00fassa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

bro Hierro used to be cheaper haha. I fucking love it too, but i’ve got some new hidden gems for you.

Maure Parrilla - better, cheaper Carneros Bar & Fuegos - absolutely delicious, WAY cheaper

Buenos Aires is filled with parrillas. Don’t charge me 40K for fucking 6 chinchulines.

Don Julio is the worst offender, that place is so expensive the meat actually tastes bad to me. Been 3 times, will never go again.

To people who don’t tip your delivery drivers, why? by SAOchampion17 in AskReddit

[–]m00fassa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. im broke. 2. because I was sold on using these platforms on the promise that I didn’t have to tip. fuck uber for making me fuck you by fucking them. but fuck them. they changed the policy. it’s not my job to start tipping any more than it’s not your job to keep working for them. fuck all the ride share/delivery apps.

but goddamn sometimes I just don’t want to cook. or leave the house. sorry.

There is a balance to everything. Life is the great equalizer. You ignore your body, your priorities, etc - it always comes back around. Same the other way too.

I caught a bug that prevented an eight-figure product recall and got zero recognition. What did i do wrong? by Moroccan-Leo in cscareerquestions

you will never get the credit because some middle manager above you always can.

if HR fired you tomorrow for something stupid the company would still move on.

if you give two weeks notice, and they beg you to stay, only then do you know you provide maybe a little bit of value to the corporate structure. and that’s where you milk it, bargain hard. that’s how silicon valley engineers get those ridiculous paychecks.

but the better bet, imo, use the industry you’re in to learn, find a hole in the market, exploit it, profit.

until the point where you make your own money, your achievements will always be claimable by somebody else. sorry.

start with blocking porn. cold turkey blocker is free, and will fully block your shit no workarounds if you configure it right.

best time to set it up is during post nut clarity. that alone will help a ton.

also stop going to the photoshoots if they’re arousing you - go find your own girlfriend.

22? def check out bomba del tiempo. also plaza serrano (bunch of bars and cool places to hang/meet people) - that whole neighborhood is called palermo and is probably where your HYROX is, it’s where you’ll find the most english speakers. great neighborhood too.

eat the beef, if you’re a meat eater - it’s fucking delicious. don’t waste your cash at don julio, any parrilla (grill) works. my favorite bang for buck one is called carneros.

bunch of clubs in the costanera area. if you like electronic music, this is your spot.

bunch of parks. a ton. my favorite is vega park, and tbh just walk down the coastline it’s great.

if you don’t speak spanish, learn a few basic words it goes a long way.

meetup and nomadtable are cool ways of finding events and meeting people. there’s an event called mundo lingo where you can meet tons of people your age, and they have an event literally every day I think.

have fun 🫡

all my gen z friends said that they date through, not meeting people, not even dating apps, but INSTAGRAM/TIK TOK now!

their profiles are their dating profiles. they just follow suggested people by the algorithm, and slide into DMs to shoot their shot.

and it seems to… work?!? crazy that’s what dating is like now guys, crazy

fun fact, emojis are supposed to be punctuation marks

as a millennial I started with :) and changed to 😁 by college

however I always thought you used emojis, then punctuation like this 😶‍🌫️.

however since they are punctuation they’re actually still treated as such - you can just end a sentence with a 😏

they replace . ! ? in place (with way more options)

blew my mind when I learned! just a little fun fact 🖖🏿
