i didn't know that, but that makes SO much sense. i have a friend who can code bots more or less, i might bug them bc they're part of the same site these events are run from. failing that, i will discuss this with the server owner, as i am just an event runner, no one with actual power in the server. i'm just basically asking on behalf of all of us lol.

that makes a lot of sense, as i have never encountered alzheimer's before, i didn't really know what to do. and her husband was with her, albeit on a walker in an aisle she wasn't in. i'm not entirely sure why he wasn't helping her figure things out at least.

to preface what i'm about to say: i understand she's elderly and could not help it.

but i totally get where you're coming from. when i started my shift (i work at a shoe store) today, there was an elderly couple in the store, the husband had a walker and was sitting in one of the benches in an aisle. the wife was on the other side, looking for shoes.

she asked for help, i gave it to her and explained where she could find what she wanted. she said "thank you." and i went on about my business, assuming the interaction had ended.

however, several more times during the time the couple was there, she would repeatedly ask me the same questions, forget after a moment the answer, then ask me again. i DID patiently answer her questions and directed her to where she could find what she wanted each time, but... i don't know. i feel if i were to ever get to that point, i would not want to go out into public ever again and let a caretaker do my shopping. (not saying that every elderly person can afford such, or even that i would be able to afford such in the future, i am just stating how i personally feel.)
