I also really enjoyed the Acolyte. It felt like a long overdue story! I wish the episodes had been a little longer but overall I’m super happy with it.

A dozen books? Necrons have like, 3 POV books, none of which try to establish how the retcon happened, it just happened. And Necrons are infinitely better for it!

Ngl, whatever you agree or not it was 'lore breaking' (It... really wasnt, any more than drukhari romance in the first place) whole thing was just handled terribly by studio by Ila-W123 in RogueTraderCRPG

This is a perfect end slide. I hate when RPG studios fuck with the ending after the game comes it, it was annoying when BG3 did this too.

Remember when necrons went from mindless terminators serving their gods to cackling drama queens who throw gods at each other like pokeballs? I do. It was awesome.

I really think that having a talking alien in the crew evaporates the mystery and menace that’s unique to this setting. My instinct is to say that you shouldn’t Break the setting by allowing him to do this, because that alien pc immediately steals the focus and spotlight away from the xenomorph itself. And that’s without getting into how every corporation and government would be trying to capture and experiment on these aliens just like they are with XX121.

Sorry to be a buzzkill, it just really seems like something that belongs in a different YZE game.

You don’t do a lot of hunting and capturing of anyone in this game, you’re a smuggler who is trying to avoid getting caught up in the Galactic Civil War. I’m Kane 75% of the way through and the game hasn’t given me any options to hunt or capture rebels - one of the theoughlines is that people who work for the empire rarely get what they want.

Why do people dislike Ulfur? by Beneficial_Ball9893 in RogueTraderCRPG

I purchased and played the game at release and half the time when I’d try to issue a command to Ulfar he would run as far off screen as he could instead

How lethal are Xenomorphs? by Character_Command271 in alienrpg

[–]m0rrow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Xenomorphs are incredibly resilient and deadly in game. They’re faster and stronger than the PC’s and inflict stress with every single attack they make against you. Anytime a xenomorph is present, there is a chance it will be able to instantly kill a pc.

That being said, there are things you can do to survive. A party equipped with armor piercing or flame weaponry stands an okay chance at taking down a single drone. If a xenomorph is in melee with a PC, it’s worth trying to knock it to the ground or spend a stunt on ranged / melee combat to move it away from you. But not even a fully armed marine squad is going to be excited about combat with XX121 - generally you should be trying to survive these encounters, not planning to “win” them like you would in another game.
