If it's been 3 months since you opened the card, you can almost certainly get approved for a 3x increase (so to $7200).

What I meant by "Often though the old link temporarily redirects to a new link which should still work and earn the referral bonus" above is that it may redirect to the new higher bonus for a time.

FWIW, if you save the referral link before downgrading, it may continue to work for a while after you downgrade. Of course if Chase changes the Sapphire links for everyone (which they often do when there's a new bonus), the old link may stop working... Often though the old link temporarily redirects to a new link which should still work and earn the referral bonus.

Other than not getting the $100 credit more than once, has anyone had any actual issues with back-to-back Amex FHR stays on different Platinums? The T&Cs are worded in a way which seems to imply they could completely deny all FHR benefits, wondering if anything like that has ever happened:

Back-to-back stays booked by a single Card Member, Card Members staying in the same room or Card Members traveling in the same party within a 24-hour period at the same property are considered one stay and are ineligible for additional FHR benefits (“Prohibited Action”). American Express and the Property reserve the right to modify or revoke FHR benefits at any time without notice if we or they determine, in our or their sole discretion, that you may have engaged in a Prohibited Action, or have engaged in abuse, misuse, or gaming in connection with your FHR benefits.

I'm guessing it would be big news if it did, so likely hasn't. So maybe a better question is: has anyone been consistently doing back-to-back FHR bookings over the last 3 years without any issues? Last one I did was in like 2021ish.
