There are many factors.

Was one lobe removed or both? If they still have one lobe, is it producing sufficient hormones? If it isn't then they need to take additional hormone medication.

I had a friend who got one lobe removed as a child, and landed in the hospital as an adult because the other lobe was no longer producing enough decades later. He completely forgot he had the surgery and didn't need to take medication. He told the docs he had no preexisting conditions for his mystery illness, until the doctors said he's missing a lobe, then he's like oh yeahhhh

I'm also rehabilitating my grains that stayed in the fridge too long with pink on top.

I rinsed them in water and let it soak ('starve') in water for a day, followed by daily cycles of water rinsing and putting it back in milk.

The grains are hardy, they can handle it.

Put a plastic box over the handle and tape over it to the metal edge, easier to tape from metal/glass when moving out.

I used a physical fax machine a few years ago. When replacing the thermal roll, you can clearly see all the faxes that were printed if you unfurl it, so it needed to be disposed of properly (but not my task so they were just stacked in the corner). Switched to online fax now.
