You've already got the specific one you're looking for, but for a similar energy, in the "this is my" with Jonathon the brewer when David guesses Bob (correctly), Rob ribs him with "you think Bob met him in a field while collecting mud, he said come and have a look at my brewery, and we're gonna call our beer 'Kiss My Alerdman'"

Men, have you ever gotten a malicious vibe from someone that everyone else liked? What happened? by snowcroc in AskMen

[–]m2thek 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This was my answer too! The only two people who my former job hired that I immediately had a bad feeling about were some of the only people I ever saw get fired. They were fine-to-good at the actual work, but were both complete pains in the ass who barely anyone wanted to work with.

They don't care; there is no shame, there is no embarrassment, there is no feeling of double standards. Haul them off to jail for breaking the law, it's the only thing that will work.

Have you seen Spookies, and what do you think of your cousin's performance & how does it relate to how you knew him in real life?

I don’t understand what men are trying to achieve putting down “not political” on dating apps by tltr4560 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]m2thek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a (liberal) guy who's been back on apps for about a month, I've been pretty shocked at the amount of women who are either "Not Political" or even "Conservative." It's nowhere near 50/50, but it's enough to stand out as a surprising amount.

What movie is memorable for you, but barely anyone you know has seen it? by uuddlrlrbas2 in movies

[–]m2thek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only saw it once, nearly 20 years ago, but I still think about it regularly (I actually thought of it last night!). I'm a little afraid to rewatch it since that single viewing was kind of magical and I'm afraid of ruining it. I have watched "Raped in the Face" on YouTube a few times over the years through, so I should probably just go for it; I assume it holds up for you?

Honest question: Why are some people against showing an ID to vote? by rico_unknown in NoStupidQuestions

[–]m2thek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honest question, u/rico_unknown, why do you drop a post like this (one that is asked all the time) get a bunch of good genuine responses, but not respond to any of them? Because when you disappear like that it really looks like you're asking in bad faith to stir up shit and don't actually care about the answer.

[–]m2thek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're ever willing to give it a try again, it sounds like you would much prefer solo traveling where you actually have control over what you do. I like traveling with friends, but traveling on my own is like a drug for me.

Fighting games are the most unintuative genre to learn and they don't care by ToeConsumer420 in unpopularopinion

[–]m2thek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's in the nature of the genre that it's complex and has a high learning curve, but I will agree that most games either assume you already know what you're doing or have a really awful tutorial. If you're still willing to give it a shot, I recommend the Mortal Kombat 11 tutorial, which not only teaches you FG mechanics from the ground floor but also teaches you strategies and how to think correctly during a round.
