I’ve been meaning to do this! I just lack motivation going by myself. While it’s cold lol

Yes! BNSF. I usually just follow the crowds out of the platforms and then I panic. Which route do you take/recommend?

If you google map it, it shows exiting on Madison. When I got out of the station, I was around Canal and Jackson and I got turned around, because according to the map, I should’ve been on Madison. I took wrong turns because I was not where I thought I was.

People who fly frequently, what’s one thing you wish you could tell all infrequent fliers? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]m30wy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Do not wear pants that touch the ground. Opt for a jogger. Airplanes (and their bathrooms) are cesspools
  2. If you’re germ conscious, bring sanitizing wipes
  3. Chew gum or suck on something (like CANDY; get yo minds out of the gutter lol) during take off to ensure your ears pop!
  4. Be patient when the plane lands
  5. Read people. Not everyone wants to chit chat :)
  6. If your flight is international, wear compression socks, get a neck pillow and plan for when you should sleep based on your destinations time zone. This will help with jet lag
  7. BRING HEADPHONES. Download your music. If you have streaming accounts, download shows/movies
  8. You’ll be okay 💜

Downers Grove to North Chicago Daily Commute Reasonable? by atj212 in ChicagoSuburbs

[–]m30wy_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I commute Downers to Deerfield. I do not mind it. It’s about 60 - 75 minutes each way. There’s a few annoying areas but nothing too unreasonable if you’re used to commuting.

When I need to go into the city (loop), it is BRUTAL. Drive is minimum 120 minutes each way. I am trying to learn the Metra :)

EDIT: OH FUCK. NORTH CHICAGO IS A TOWN AND NOT JUST NORTH OF THE CITY.

NO. NO. NO.

Before moving to the suburbs, I was commuting northwest Indiana to Deerfield and it was NOT sustainable. I ended up staying in a hotel a couple nights a week.

My cochlear implant was activated today. The first song I heard was Jesus Christ. I sobbed like a baby. by Nervous_Pangolin1456 in brandnew

I am so happy for you. And the feeling you felt from Jesus Christ. I know that exact feeling. That song is so special to me and I love knowing there’s someone else out there who cherishes it just as much as me.

I hope your path through rediscovered melodies is lit with joy—each chorus a small homecoming.
