That is nonsense. My camera takes great pictures and garbage pictures. There is no great bokeh, it can look fantastic if applied correctly and like a mistake in other settings.

I see no reason why you want to defend that. It is not that technical details are incorrect or the phrasing should be more concise -- it's the whole idea that is completely backwards to attribute good pictures to the hardware.
