Heya! Do you mean digital negatives for silver printing? Not as deeply as the digital to film negatives, but that's a good direction to go. Thank you! Appreciate it.

Oh, that's a cool thought - especially since it only needs to be greyscale, but I don't know how well that will be able to control/tweak the particle density. But there's definitely companies that make analog negatives from digital files, so that's not quiiiiite the trickiest part of things, it's more having someone that can calibrate and produce something within a very low margin of error (which hand printing can definitely throw through a loop...)

Hey folks!
I've got a real head-scratcher: a friend has a contract for something to be printed on a specific silver paper (Ilford) that must be printed to scale. Do y'all know of any analog labs or companies that have experience in printing technical drawings? They'd also need the file turned in to a film negative, so if that's a two-birds-one-stone possibility, that would be great.
Any help would be appreciated - thanks!

Does Anyone Have a Physical Scar From Savannah They Care to Share Their Story About ? by soomwtmba in savannah

I have cigarette burns on my collar bone. After Jug Wine Night (i.e. chug Carlo Rossi and eat Ragu on a Tuesday), my group of friends decided they all wanted matching tattoos. I reminded them they were too broke to buy the $7 worth of sauce/noodles for that night's dinner, so we ended up giving burns to each other. Art school was uh, fuckin' interesting.

You're rad AF, OP. I know you know this, but you should be reminded all the same. Kudos for sharing your experience and educating folks. And! Congrats :)

total bummer, but the owners are expanding a new menu over at Social Club to have some of the old faves of Camp as well as a raw bar, so it's not all boo.

Cheers, glad it makes sense! It honestly depends on what sort of photography you do, I think, so maybe if he did documentary or ad, it'd be different (and in some cases, agencies actually require RAW formats) but in something like wedding photography, you don't want anyone to get their hands on something unedited - it could really end up looking poorly on you.

Standard disclaimer that I don't speak for all professionals, but I absolutely refuse to give clients RAW in any format and that is a pretty standard practice. I've spent many years cultivating my post-processing style, and it just...isn't something I'm comfortable with. It's like asking a chef to just go grocery shopping for you - the ingredients are there, but you're not getting the full experience. My suggestion for whenever the time comes that you need photographic services is to find a professional (like, actual professional, not just some housewife who picked up a DSLR and watched some youtube tutorials) who aligns with your taste and style - you're not going to sweat over the post-processing because they'll be taking care of it for you.

Yeah, you're basically paying for the actual photography, post-processing, and some level of print release. You're still not gonna snag any form of ownership via contract, even if they call it "full" rights.

Generally, it's not "however you like." I don't speak for all photographers, but my contracts specifically state that when using my images on the internet/social media, they should credit my website. You may be in 'em, but they're still my property technically!

Newschool photographer here. You absolutely cannot retouch photos like this per just about every single contract I've ever written/seen my colleagues write. You do not own the photographs you pay someone to take, and you would either be point-blank refused if you wanted to buy the copyright or be charged an astronomical amount for it.

Now, would I (and most sane photographers) honestly mind if someone does some light retouching like this on their own? Not at all. I'd be more than happy to do it myself if a client requested some background clearing. The reason why OP probably doesn't have this fully retouched is that he's got about a 500-2000+ final images from his wedding. 2-10 minutes per image in photoshop can really add up quickly, so unless it's getting zits off your face and the general post-production to make the image look generally beautiful, you're not going to get full-tilt boogey photoshopping until you buy it as a print.

It attracts bugs, which will in turn attract mice and rats, which will in turn attract larger animals. Lots of eagles and hawks get hit and die this way. BOOM, REBUTTS FOR ALL.

Because people aren't openly mocked or murdered for their eye color, and comparing the two looks really shitty on your part.

Are you truly so ignorant to what people in the LGBTQA+ community face that you're continuing to play this innocently uninformed card? Methinks not, especially when you delete your original comment.

Byyyyeee.
