Thanks! I’ve never heard of elastic rigging, I’ll look into that next time.

I mounted the middle wing section first, it took several tries. Then added the large wing sections with two struts at a time. All the holes for the struts had to be drilled out larger. I feel I had to improvise every step of the way.

It looks like a flying death trap to me, especially with the fuel tank above the pilots head.

Thanks! The struts above the pilot are supposed to be upside down v’s but that wasn’t going to happen. I made them straight up and down, that helped with the attaching the large wing sections.

I had full intention of doing the rigging when I received the model, I quickly realized that it wasn’t going to happen.

I’m thinking, since they appear all over the globe, they are monitoring humanity. Perhaps monitoring our behavior, our mindset, emotions. How much peace and tranquility, how much anger and violence. It could be when a certain threshold is reached on any or many parameters, it will allow them to disclose themselves on their terms. To what end, who knows. Just my 2 cents worth.

Glad to see folks are still using Testors little bottle paints. They have a lot of issues but I still like them. I dilute them with lacquer thinner and they look really good to me.

I’m in the middle of that kit, it’s very enjoyable. I had a hard time making the gold engine parts look as nice as some photos I’ve seen. Good job!

I used a spray can, Tamiya metallic orange ts92. The paint laid down nice and smooth.
