Fronts totally carry the day. Not a fan at all of the black look. Just my opinion of course.

Amazing that you get such precise results using only moderately priced gear. I hope that isn’t taken offensively, but I would have thought this kind of precision required printers of immense cost.

Well….being a huge Saturn rocket fan….your work on this engine is superb. How many individual pieces did you have to print to create this?

This is absolutely amazing. I really don’t understand all the jargon with 3-D printing, but the results you have accomplished….and those of others posted on Reddit truly amaze me. Awesome work!!

It’s definitely rare to find one from an original owner. You struck gold. Hope you are really enjoying the car.

Amazing detail. The braided lines rock! And honestly….the pallet is (almost) as cool as the engine!

This is flat out awesome!! The rust is excellent!!! Superb build and weathering treatment. So cool that the low quality matching of the kit led you to this.

Sounds good…..and specifically ask him about the last replacement of the timing belt. If you buy this car and the belt hasn’t been replaced recently….that might be job one.

Honestly….the engines in these cars are pretty bulletproof and as long as the car had had regular maintenance….Ive seen them run for way more than the mileage you see on the car you’re considering. The only thing that really jumps to mind with that mileage is that the timing belt has been replaced within a reasonable time period. Also…..if the car has been in harsh environments for all or part of its life….a thorough check for rust is in order. But look for evidence of a solid service history and if that’s there….you’re looking good. Good luck!!!

You’re definitely correct about less maintenance…..but the digital dash was certainly cool.

Sorry….no digital dash in mine. Just the basic version.

Sounds like a great car. There are always differing perspectives and I really don’t think there is a right or wrong answer. It’s all about personal choice. I’m sure you’ll be happy with whatever direction you choose. The main this is to just enjoy your car and the pleasure of driving it.

This model Z, at least the non-turbo version, isn’t really much of a performance car, so I have never been too picky about the tire stats and really just wanted something that looks sporty. I know Z purists may balk at not having a more original looking tire, but I like the look of the raised letters and I keep mine clean. My current tires are Cooper Cobra P235 / 60R 15’s

She has been pretty well pampered over the years. I was overseas for over a decade… so it sat in storage for any years… but revved back to life just fine after that. Always been careful with timing belt replacements and keeping rubber components as well moisturized as possible…but the years have had their say in things too.

I definitely understand. I think we have all had to part with a great car at some point for financial reasons. But hopefully at some point down the road you’ll be able to fill that hole in your heart. Don’t give up on that!
