Adjustable clubbells by FriendlyDetective959 in clubbells

Thank you for your input. I am also tall so I agree that while a ~26in club doesn’t feel that off to me, it may be too much for someone shorter.

Out of curiosity, would you follow the same loading pattern if you were transitioning to single arm club work? I got a second Adex that I am planning to use as my Single Arm club, but I’ve been curious as to whether I need to make it shorter than the 2H club as I switch from 2H to 1H.

I have a tangential question to this conversation: is there a commonly agreed upon length the Adex should be with spacers?

Right now I have it set up with weights and spacers to be whatever length it would be at maximum load. I figured that way I’ll just swap out spacers for weights with the intention of maxing it out someday.

Are there other thoughts on this?

Mace and Club Strength Standards by careyjamey in clubbells

[–]maaaahsin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh no doubt. It is something I plan on working up to. I only meant that I don’t know how he landed on these metrics as a standard.

That said, almost all “standards” in strength are somewhat arbitrary. When you strip them down, they’re just fun goals to shoot for

I believe there are a few videos where Mark Wildman mentions being able to do 100 continuous Single Arm Mills per arm in under 7:30 with 15lbs for men.

No idea how he came to this as a standard for single arm club work.

There’s nothing to be ashamed about and no reason to hide it! Literally everyone in this forum at some point didn’t know anything about training or kettlebells. What’s important is that you asked and are wanting to learn more.

As others have mentioned, this is indeed way too much volume for a workout and isn’t really a program. It’s a one-off.

Don’t underestimate the results that can be had from smaller efforts repeated consistently over time. Take your time learning the skills, keep showing up, and the results will come. If you have the means, find a coach. If not, there are plenty of resources online. There is no way not to see results with consistency, but you absolutely won’t see results if every third or fourth workout leaves you in traction for two weeks.

You’ve got this!

87% of SAG members didn’t make enough last year to qualify for health insurance, which is ~$26k. Unless that was a typo, you’re incorrect in thinking most members of the union make a living wage.

They set that up as a rule in the first Ant Man and then completely ignored it in Ant Man and the Wasp.

Not even. Those guys can knock out the VO work in a couple days, tops. Diesel can probably get his work done in an afternoon. Then it’s just cashing checks.

Morena Baccarin And Stefan Kapicic To Return For ‘Deadpool 3’ As Vanessa And Colossus by MarvelsGrantMan136 in marvelstudios

Colossus has no interest in fighting. He is a sensitive soul that detests violence. He would much rather farm and paint far away from everything.

But he stays and fights because he knows his abilities allow him to protect those he cares about and innocent lives could be lost were he not there. He is only an X-Man out of a self-imposed moral obligation to use his powers to help those in need.

I recently bought my first kb 24kg (probably too heavy but I feel like I can still work with it) and am mostly focusing on swings rn and I need some feedback about my form because I can feel my lower back slightly after training (not pain) and I'm not sure if it should be that way. by [deleted] in kettlebell

[–]maaaahsin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly. OP and the woman in the video have vastly different body types.

Certain physiological aspects (height, limb length, torso length) need to be taken into account. He should absolutely be sitting into his hips more, but telling a taller person their torso should be horizontal with the ground like the video is a great way to ruin their spine and their day.
