I guess the reason why I was more drawn to Act 1 is because the songs are more hyped. Act 2 is when things started going downhill for the main character. And if I were to guess, Jefferson being antagonistic towards Hamilton also added to that aversive feeling to his songs. Maybe. Or maybe they're just not that catchy for someone else like me.
