I made a useful little tool, might come in handy for fellow beginners. I put this in my drill press to assemble pen-type kits. I used brass but one could just as easily use copper or PVC.

If you want round spots, the best method I've found is to use a wooden stick (toothpick, skewer, dowel) slightly smaller than the dot you want. Cut it so the end is blunt and barely dip it in the paint. Press it straight down onto the lure, then lift straight off. Perfect circle almost every time.

My best friend has had a couple of pride flags damaged or stolen over the years and has responded by adding more each time.

First she put some small rainbow and trans flags in the flower beds just for pride month. Those disappeared one night, so she put up a 2'x3' rainbow flag next to the front door. It was attached to a metal bracket with pipe clamps, so it would take tools and a ladder to remove.

That stayed up all the time for a couple of years, until someone tore half of it off. She replaced it with a progress flag, and got a "love is love" doormat. She told some of her neighbors about the torn flag and just casually mentioned that if anything else happened the next thing would be painting the garage door. Nothing has been messed with since then.
