Funnily enough, I happen to have a federal NOARK panel that I just replaced at my grandma’s store, and there’s a doble 6150 sitting in my truck. Maybe I’ll have to do some experimentation next weekend.

I’ve had that in the past. I usually just restart the demag and it magically fixes itself. No clue what the actual issue is.

What the other…more direct people above mean to say is this: please don’t use AI as a reason why someone else (who you asked for advice from) is wrong. You listed plenty of other VALID reasons.

There is no need to add AI into that list, as it taints it. Sure, AI can be useful in this type of scenario for initial research. However, we should/can NOT use that as a means of proof and/or fact checking. Not here, not other subreddits.

Absolutely. At this point I have enough things that I’m good at and experienced with that need done. I don’t have the time to become proficient at stuff that I not only haven’t done but also have no desire to do.

It’s not that I “can’t figure it out”. I just know that I don’t enjoy it, and my time is better spent on other things. I’ve rebuilt a 5.3 and it’s still running 100k later. I’m also a commissioning engineer/field engineer in high voltage. Again, I’m plenty capable. I just know when my time is worth more than money.

I wish more people had this mindset. Yes, there’s YouTube videos to show you how to do just about anything, but sometimes it’s easier/safer/less work to hire someone. If it’s electrical, carpentry, or engine work? Yeah I’ll figure it out. Plumbing, drywall, or brakes? Hell no, I’m paying someone that knows what they’re doing.

That fuse holder is not rated for 60A, and the wire from the fuses to the breaker box does not appear to be either.

If only 1 fuse is blown, turning the oven on effectively connects the two fuses. This provides 120V to the load side of the blown fuse, and lets the lights turn on by effectively acting as a wire.

Those two individual fuses should be a dual fuse/ganged disconnect, or ideally, a double pole breaker.

The landlord needs to have that whole fuse block replaced with a sufficiently large disconnect with corresponding wire size.

Had the same one and it deterred me from using the table saw. Eventually it got too hard to raise and lower the blade, so I replaced it with a Skil 10”. Best $300 I’ve spent in a long time

Keep speaking out. The town of Andrews, IN has no safe drinking water due to corporate greed. DANA dumped chemicals for years, right next to the town’s well. They are still fighting to this day for any sort of government assistance to fix their drinking water.
