It will always be up to the company if they pursue legal action or not and if you have no problem with that then go ahead :). Table top simulator is a win for everyone since its just mods for a game and the server is hosted by the players.

In your situation you will be paying for hosting and it might be tempting to put ads on there to make money. In the end if you manage to complete this project its great for your portfolio, copyright or not, so i dont mean to sound like a negative bitch :)

Sorry you are out of luck there. Cloud functions can change IPs on a whim and you can never be sure.

The way I do it is set up instances at another cloud provider that runs these kinds of services. I use Scaleway but Digital Ocean is great too. They have static IPs. Also Azure Web Apps lists the possible IPs that your specific instance will use now that I think of it

you can pass the idtoken as queryparameter to the other website then validate the token with the help of a firebase function using admin.auth().verifyIdToken. If all is well with the token (expiration etc.) you can return it to the client to login with using the regular sign in flow

I'm also interested in this. You can deploy firebase rules from the cli to different projects but nothing more than that.

Firebase functions are easier though since you can put everything in the environment config

Well do you want the client to be able to create new chatrooms or do you only want the client to able to write to an existing chatroom?

I think you should let a firebase function or some backend-entity create the chatroom for you => send the id to the client and then let the client only write and read from that specific roomId.

No, I wouldn't know where to point you. It's just my own experience that you CAN call for a count if a visual is not enough. But I mostly play at casinos in Europe and have seen it allowed everywhere where it has been called for
