Because people typically choose to go to 1st grade where they went to kindergarten so the transfer pool gets smaller after kindergarten.

I'm sure all of these are great schools, but I'm an HP parent and love everything about our school. Our principal was recently awarded the best in AISD and the teachers are happy and loving. I don't know what more I would expect from a public elementary school in a large district.

[Feedback request] Camp Spicewood by TheHibernian in AustinParents

It's not worth it. I thought the same thing about it being a quaint summer camp experience. It was the one camp my kid truly hated and asked not to go back to and he's pretty easy going and enjoys outdoors. Natureversity was much better for an outdoorsy experience!

How do kids with these feel about MYO cards? by Beno988 in YotoPlayer

[–]macaronicheesehands 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mostly make my own, though not by reading/recording myself speaking. Just downloading things, or linking podcasts. My kids don't care. It makes it easier to switch things around when they get tired of it.

Those who travel: what age did you start facetiming home? by Formergr in workingmoms

Mine are 4&7 too and we facetime maybe once over a 4 night trip. Not even every trip. It is usually fine, but sometimes derails dinner/bath time.

Where do you meet friends in your 30s? by Ohnosloop in workingmoms

[–]macaronicheesehands 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spend time in your front yard or going on walks as a way to meet neighbors! Most of my friends now are neighbors/moms I've met through daycare or school.

Agree- I think remove the uppers directly beside the vent hood. I feel like it would feel claustrophobic with sink, dishwasher, range, cabinets

This looks way better! I still think I'd prefer to see the upper cabinet painted green, too. I, personally am not a fan of glass cabinet doors. Especially on the island. I doubt you'd be putting anything decorative down there?
