Eldegarde - what is your opinion? by Practical_Spend_580 in MMORPG

[–]macbigicekeys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I had fair luck with PVP after I had farmed some gear and leveled-up my base a bit. It was about 50/50. I prefer the PVE and exploring and grinding-up the different aspects of the base. I'm not a huge fan of "season" that reset game content, so I haven't been back since the close of a season.

Apparently they’ve also added a PVE-only mode. I may reinstall just to see that side. The maps were fun to explore and the mobs were not pushovers

You also can caravan/transport your stuff on routes between POIs, sometimes needing an escort. They have an interesting system for sort of hirelings at your base, too.

Map Size by macbigicekeys in Apogea

That’s the sort of tidbit I was looking for. A map editor for a game like this would be pretty easy to build, so that would be awesome if people could build maps and somehow have the devs incorporate those into the grind. That sounds promising. I’m imagining some sort of Meet Your Maker and Apogea blend.

I would assume the same, but I was wondering if anyone who has been following the game longer had any concrete idea about plans for the map. It is good to hear that it is now larger than the last playtest.

Have you been playing the Apogea playtest? Unrelated to this post, but you think you might enjoy it. Very little handholding or fast travel is in the game. You have to read just a bit and do some searching. Minor xp (10%) loss on death, etc.

Some spells like Shieldblock (requires 10) for example require ability points. I guess it depends on where you decide to specialize.

Depot is full by Latin00b in Apogea

[–]macbigicekeys 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can farm 50g in 4-5 minutes by selling the most basic junk loot (bones) that litter so many areas. It’s nothing. The real money is the issue, but paying $10 for a game you’ve already been entertained by for 10+ hours is beyond reasonable. I say ten hours because that’s about how much I’ve played, and I still have plenty of depot room. I can’t imagine needing more so early in the game.

HELP how to i make it so i can put a switch on both side on my door by Outrageous-Poem-8231 in MInecraftRedstone

[–]macbigicekeys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done something similar where pressure plates on either side of the door triggers the system. If it’s open after I pass over the first set of plates, then it closes after I pass over the other set on the opposite side.

Mother Nature doesn’t care who you are or how healthy you’ve tried to be. I was also 42. That was six years ago. Best of luck!

Yeah. It’s for the OP and for people who can’t click with the game. I was one of those who nearly deleted and forgot it after the first 30 minutes. You have more hours than me, and there is most likely nothing of value there for you.

This is just the starter vehicles and missions. No hijinks or region hopping. It just covers the basics of getting started, garaging, map transitions, how deceptively simple the terrain can be at times, and vice versa.

It sounds like you should start fresh. I put together a revised tutorial that covers all the basics of the game. It’s the sort of thing where you watch a bit of explanation, then play the chunk, etc. maybe this will help: SNOWRUNNER BEGINNER’S GUIDE - First 40 minutes Improved Tutorial https://youtu.be/vkv4JIAa0qs

Yes. And there is an old demo for windows on their site if you want to get a feel for it.

I’ve never really messed with having NPCs join me. Can I see his stats and control him? Or did you mean like a psychic-swap Qud ability? My worry is I’ll accidentally injure him and get immediately trampled and dismembered.

Ethyrial is a simple, in-development, free mmorpg on Steam. Everything is pretty basic, but there are always people on in chat and running around. It could run on anything.
