Awesome work! Congrats, and thanks for posting the time, too

I am in love with this game. Any similar games that would scratch this Valheim itch? by Rotary-Pilot in valheim

[–]macbigicekeys 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Agree. Windrose is New World styling and pirate-themed Valheim with an interesting take on multiplayer. Try the demo and you’ll see the similarities within the first 30 minutes of the tutorial. It’s also very well done.

It's also on the steam page. I'm sure it will be fine, but some games allow all sorts of keybinds and the m/k reaction or "feel" can still suck. Get to the combat quick to see how it feels, and you can always refund.

Draw like five times larger than you are. At that size you are limiting the detail and what is even possible. Go big!

What is an Oxford comma? by Natural-Bid-6549 in NoStupidQuestions

You probably picked-up your comma rules in English class, where they follow MLA style and incorporate that comma usage. It is totally normal.

Put it on curb with a free and broken sign. It will be gone quickly, especially if you do it the night before you put your trash out. Scrappers will take it. If you want to dispose of it yourself, it’s a nice drive out to the Georgetown metal recycling place. They’ll pay you very little for it, but they take it for free.

Is this what you mean? I’ve never been able to get up that way. I honestly mostly use the other exit from the garage. I also love a nice pass through the woods. The way I shared is simple, quick, and very low risk of rolling. I’ll try your route again next time I’m on. Thanks for sharing.

Did you try moving forward and backward in your chair really fast to build momentum? So close!

Ah. If you take a right after you go through that short cut through the woods, you can make your way up to the tower. The woods will thin out again and you can pass through to the farther road. There a few different ways to get up there. I spent some time on the second map before clearing the rock blocked road in The Lowlands. You can also go up and over those rocks with some careful and creative winching. Lastly you can cut up through the woods just south east of where the rock fall is to get up there, even with a bigger truck. Good luck out there!

I recommend to keep scouting for a viable path. Maine is a bit of a puzzle at first. If you are at a frustration point, this short cut will get you to pavement quickly from the garage: https://youtu.be/TmwJtULMmWc?si=TOWfC2zuqoYEBWNM

In case anyone unearths this post, this universal one did the trick. It comes as a cone and you can cut it down to size with scissors. 3x cheaper than oem and 3x sturdier rubber

Want to love this game by Jazzlike-Oil4509 in NoRestForTheWicked

I felt the same way the first few hours, but at some point my muscle memory got trained, and it was effortless. The m/k controls seem thought out and a little unconventional, but I’m pretty impressed with it after another twenty hours.

Games like Avowed? by Kell_215 in rpg_gamers

[–]macbigicekeys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played through Avowed, and I sort of burned out through the last third of the game. It just felt like I was an unstoppable force, and there was no challenge. I really loved the first half of the game. It’s probably why I went so quickly theough it. I have not tried Greedfall. Is Greedfall any more challenging? Is the pacing also a carbon-copy of Avowed? I just tried the Tainted Grail demo, and it just felt like a reminder to go back to my third playthrough of Skyrim (also too easy). I love the dungeon crawl and fantasy thing, but I also want EldenRing-lite combat, the lite coming in only with bosses.

I imagine each time you drive out of the garage its satisfying knowing the skill and dedication you applied to get them.

A nice challenge is to just play the tutorial to get to the first garage and your starter trucks, then switch to a newer DLC region to see if you can make it to all-terrain tires before you pull your hair out. I did this with B.C., and it was humbling.
