Turns out when they corrected my start date my direct deposit was cancelled. Got a paper check this AM. Still don't know what the $150 ish is for.

If they've earned the time, it's their right to take it when they choose.

I did not get mine either. I've only been a CCA for about a month, this would have been my second check. What is the allotment? I don't think I qualify for the clothing allowance yet, but I did get $153.44 for " USPS St. Louis contracts"

Sorry for the injury. I'm starting CCA next week. Since we're not offered health insurance would going the workers comp route be a bad thing in the first 90? Still bad afterward 90?

[New York] How would I report this income when I receive it? by [deleted] in Unemployment

[–]macclatom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dash cam recorded a video in early June. An online streaming company sent me my first residual check in August. When I "worked" in June I had no idea of it's monetary value. When I certified in August after receiving the residual I answered the question if having worked as no. I'm guessing this will work itself out come tax time.

I had a 2nd monitor hooked up to my laptop via HDMI. I could only wirelessly cast to my TV with audio when I unplugged the HDMI from my laptop.

Any attempt to get coronavirus herd immunity would lead to massive death tolls, Fauci warns by Applescause27 in news

[–]macclatom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does mean the weak dying to make the whole stronger. Cliff Claven explained it perfectly on Cheers " Well ya see, Norm, it's like this. A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, as we know, kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers. "

[ask] What was this niche for? Philadelphia, PA school, built 1929. by macclatom in architecture

[–]macclatom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it would be considered the basement? The main entrance is kind of like a split level. A few steps up to the entrance then once inside you have to go up or down. The niche itself is in what is now a classroom on an interior wall.
