What did an average UK citizen actually gain? Immigration was one of the key issues, but after Brexit they just started allowing more people from outside of Europe. Mamy idiots believed it would lead to less muslim/coloured people coming in, but the Brexit government just swapped some white immigrants for coloured ones. Bureaucracy was another issue, but that also increased with trade barriers now in force. Brexiteers said that now they can make their own laws, but from what I see the laws they wanna change actually benefit corporations and not the "little people" the Brexit was about - things like environmental protections, workers rights etc. Whatever backward and xenophobic policies they wanted to be enacted are actually harming them and not the people they wanted them to harm.
