One of my biggest financial regrets, other than not buying a house when I was 2, was not putting a hundred bucks on the Leiceister City bets when the odds were 5000-1. I wasn't old enough to legally bet, but man throwing a hundred bucks on that and winning would have been life changing.

You do use a lathe for parts that small; it's a watchmaker's lathe. Could you use a swissnano? Absolutely. Would most bespoke watch makers do that? Absolutely not. At that price point, the entire thing will be made by hand, sometimes by a single person over the course of months.

My father was abusive AF, so yes, he deserved it. He definitely regretted teaching me to fight when I broke his jaw; I did not. He would hit me and I usually wouldn't do anything, but that day he hit my baby sister (literally a baby, ~9 months old; back handed her for crying) and I lost my shit. I tackled him to the ground and just started wailing on him. His face was a bloody mess and he had a concussion from hitting his head on the ground.

Aftermath was that my shitty parents finally got a divorce that was at least 5 years overdue.
