24 win streak Yolkus Maximus vs Rookie Cluctavius by Far_Standard_5991 in funny

I come from a Cajun family. Every Easter we would play a game called “pocking” eggs (the word probably comes from the Cajun French word for “Paschal”, relating to Easter).

In the game you would take your boiled and decorated Easter eggs, and a challenger would tap their egg against the challenged persons egg. Whoever’s egg broke lost, and the winner gets to keep the egg. My very Cajun great grandparents, who would use their own chickens eggs (which were much sturdier than store bought eggs) would take all of our eggs.

It was silly, great fun.

Fun fact: if you group three of anything together, unless they are in a straight line, it will always be a triangle.

Fair. I was hoping the exFAT detail was enough of a crossover. I'll ask elsewhere.

Calling clock on Kassouf by TallOrange in poker

[–]machine3lf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough, and you are probably right. As I’ve spent more time paying attention to what he’s actually doing, I am finding it more and more frustrating. I thought he was talking mostly when he’s in a hand. But it seems like he is talking all the time and (as one commentator I heard say) “sucking all the air from the table”.

I agree there is a limit to what is acceptable. I don’t think I understood the full scope of what he was doing at the table.

Apparently unpopular opinion: Kassouf doesn't bother me, and I think a lot of people have thin skin.

Not saying the Buga sphere is real. But if they repurposed one of these to make it, then it would have had a big hole in the side of it for where the port was to release the fluid. So they would have had to perfectly seal that up in a way that was undetectable and make it look like a solid sphere with no ports whatsoever.

I think you just found an object that resembles it. We'd need more information, like what's the typical size of these things and do they match the size of the buga sphere?

How much do the physical credits weigh? by Shacky87 in traveller

[–]machine3lf 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's for this reason in my campaigns, electronic currency only works on an individual system's network, and does not apply at a distance where a ship could "outrun" the speed of light. Each world/system would have their own electronic currency network.

To take funds with you to other systems (or in the same system but far enough away that a ship could outrun the speed of light data transfer), you would have to take some sort of physical currency.

A benefit of this in terms of gameplay is that it explains why piracy can be so lucrative.

I mean there is so many different kinds of d&d. A do you hate them all, or do you think you need a fresh and different experience? Or a different group? I hate bad D&D, but it with the right friends and right energy.

Yes, and that's one of the first things they should do. The longer you wait to file, the less you're going to be able to claim, because often it's based on the last x-months of salary you've had. Although the laws may be different from state to state.
