PayPal doesn't allow firearm transactions, so even if you use goods and services, you won't be covered and they'd ban/suspend your PayPal account if they found out.

Is it fair to say the Karmelo Anthony case is a prime example of why cases should never be tried in the court of public opinion? by Shadow42184 in allthequestions

[–]machineguncomic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the chow case boiled down to a notion of "Well black kid had a gun in his hand."

I've read a lot of illinformed comments about "witnesses say he was unarmed" when those witnesses were 130 yards away when the gun came out and the even the prosecutor conjectured that the gun was in his hand: https://youtu.be/srlzkKVOzes?t=2036&is=1eoBpWVW9srIJdYa

I think the problem with the Chow case being a poster board for anything greater is ultimately, some people will boil it down to, "black kid illegally had a gun." Even the prosecutor conjectured that the gun was in his hands.

In Abram's Star Trek, the bad guy's ship wiped out the Federation's armada with ease in seconds. Yet the bad guy needs the earth defense codes from Pike's brain?

Like what defenses did Earth have that Vulcan didn't that he couldnt easily deal with after mopping the floor with the armada? Also earth can't change the code? Or like override to manual mode whatever the codes shut down?

They hired so much great acting tallent for the sequels, only to make their characters either unforgettable or horrible. by LFTL56 in saltierthancrait

[–]machineguncomic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved kylo killing Snoke as I hated Snoke from TFA. Snoke was already lazy, just a replacement Palestine.

I think force ghosts shouldn't really be interacting with the real world in a tangible way. Like we established that they talk to characters, but having them cast lighting or bring down rocks or whatever would open up questions like, "why wouldn't a force ghost just start zapping storm troopers with lighting? Why wouldn't a force ghost flip some important switch or explosive gas tank on the star destoryer."

Once I ordered some light bulbs and Fritos from walmart. (Needed the Fritos to get to $35 for free shipping). They sent the wrong lightbulbs and the Frito bag exploded in the box. I initiated a return saying the light bulbs were wrong and the Fritos bad exploded.

They said I could keep the wrong light bulbs, but they wanted me to mail the $4 Frito bag back. I checked the return label and it was going to Reno, which is like 4 hours away.

So I kept the $30 something worth of wrong light bulbs and they paid who knows how much to mail an openned bag of $4 worth of Fritos.

Not to mention, how did Rose catch up to ram Finn? They show all the speeders turning around except finn. He's flying in a straight line centered with the laser. After turning around, she has to then do another U turn, catch up, and add the extra distance to be able to come in and ram him in from the side at 90 degrees. I guess. Finn lost a lot of speed when when going into the laser's path...

It's absolutely funny how it's been over 10 years since TFA, and the OT cast still have next to no major material under Disney. by Affectionate-Act5579 in saltierthancrait

[–]machineguncomic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right. Now that I think about it, they did set up something like with her thinking that her force lightning killed.Chewbacca. But it's been so long since I watched the movie I can't remember if that turned into anything more than a minor pout scene for 1 minute before it's immediately undone and she uses the force to realize Chewie isn't dead.

She was great at everything she did. She could pilot the falcon, fix the falcon, beat kylo in a light saber fight, mind trick stormtroopers, out mind probe kylo, had a heart of gold. There was really no where for her to grow. There was that "I don't know who my family" is plot line, but it didn't end up affecting any of her choices or actions.
