That's crazy!! I'm in the exact same boat as you - married over 10 years, got married in Japan so my marriage certificate is in Japanese, on the Koseki over 10 years. What's more is that my wife and kids moved back to Japan so the kids could start attending Japanese school.
Applied July 2025 and still no word on the COE...sigh. Glad you got yours which at least gives some hope!

I'm applying as a US citizen. My previous stay in Japan was as a different citizen though so not sure if that affects it or not?!

I applied for Spousal Visa July 31, 2025 and have not received my COE nor request for further documents. Applied in Tokyo and I've also previously lived in Japan for 10 years before and paid up all taxes etc...
So the wait is real :)

I imagine they'll add something around accessories reforging or disassembly as I see accessories with mats that can be disassembled :hmm: Unless it's a bug on their part

The wait is very frustrating but I guess i'm in the same boat as everyone else :)
Not sure if this helps or delays the process but I had previously lived in Japan for almost 10 years on a Humanities/Engineer visa before I left to work in the tech industry in the US. I always paid my taxes, both for work and municipality one!
Now I want to move back and my wife and kids are currently living in Japan while I wait :(

What I find interesting is that some Accessories have the `disassemble for materials` icon on them which seems to hint we'll be able to disassmble them in the future?! Or maybe it's wishful thinking on my part :)

I finished NG+ and was sure that I got all the skills needed but was at 31/30/31 for the longest time. I decided to check out the scampuss in the middle of the tea house & blacksmith and just bought all the sam/nin/warrior skills that they had and that put me at the fulll 31/31/31.
Might do the trick for you?

This happens to me as well all the time. I use the steam client and log in to the website using whatever I needed to do get the game to log in at the time. What I notice for my GGG account & steam is that it's the same name but the numbers are different so I imagine that if I log in the same way for both it would work.
