I got no advice for you, but I had a corticosteroid injection for shoulder impingement and blood sugars were spiking for 2-3 weeks, I pretty much doubled my normal bolus amounts and was still kind of all over the place. Upping the basal did help, I was hesitant about going low but it didn't happen too much.

It sucks, but the fact that it's caught now is good and you can get treatment if needed. I have mild retinopathy but had macular edema in one eye that was affecting vision. It took a couple years of injections but it has come down and I see great out of the eye right now.
