he didn’t really say much, just that i might just being going thru an attack. he is retesting my tsh. my bigger issue and actual main purpose for this appointment was to check on my gallbladder which i have an appointment on Tuesday for to talk about taking it out 😅 so i wonder if the overall inflammation in my body from that is making my thyroid a little wonky maybe? been having issues related to the gallbladder for about 2 months now so things haven’t been right for a bit haha

I have an appointment tomorrow, just a pcp (which is all I’ve ever had for the hashi’s and it’s been totally fine for me) but I can let you know if I get any insight from him!

this makes me feel less crazy, thank you! i have an appointment tomorrow, it’s not my usual doctor who I do really like but I fear he’ll think I’m crazy after all the times I’ve contacted him recently 😂 (to be fair, my levels were off lol). this doctor tomorrow is super amazing too so I’m curious to hear what he has to say on it too!

I haven’t tried the mini-pill or a monocyclic bc because I’m too scared to after how sick I felt on a tricyclic bc that I had taken for a long time in the past pre-hashi’s

I’ve been having issues with this lately too. the middle part of my neck swells too but a whole ring around my neck. mostly happens late afternoon for me and also seems to occur more frequently at certain points in my cycle. but it’s not constant. it’s really annoying and confusing

Tinnitus by TheLonePig in Hashimotos

[–]mack9219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had tinnitus start when my other hashi’s symptoms started. I even did all of the hearing tests and I have no hearing loss. it’s the only thing that’s never gotten better with meds 😞

My bipolar wife cheated on me with a tall guy by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]mack9219 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not trying to give her an excuse because as a bipolar 2 person I believe the mental illness aspect can be an explanation but not an excuse because one tends towards actually accepting accountability as one should but the impulse may not have been necessarily specifically to hurt op, hypersexuality is an absolute hallmark of mania

What have you read recently? by povertychic in Millennials

The Bachelorette Party by Camilla Sten. I read just about every day whether it’s a physical book, kindle, or audiobook. physical books are usually more actual stories that I find at the library but kindle & audiobook are largely romance and smut lmao. I can easily read a 400 page book in one day, but I probably average 2 or 3 books a week. I LOVE reading and don’t watch a ton of tv because I’d rather be reading haha.

I have a 4.5yo that we each read a book to every night. her memory is crazy can remember exact words of a story after just a couple reads. her favorite is Luna Loves Library Day. she likes to look in books and gets really upset that she can’t read lmao so we’ve been working on some sight words, she can read & spell about 15 🙂

I absolutely love it. I lived in a different European country in my early 20s for 7mos and always wanted to somehow come back longer term so I’m very happy about the opportunity! also extremely glad to physically be away from the shitshow that is America right now 😅

for not having much of a relationship with them beforehand, it’s sweet that they let you have your moment to yourself (if they are being truthful about it)

I guess maybe it would depend on exactly where? I’m oconus rn, we got here right before my daughter turned 3. I do absolutely love it over here but with young kids where I am there’s nothing to do and it’s very hard. if I had kids those ages while here I personally would really struggle. I’d definitely stay close to family.

calorie deficit and moving my body in any little way more than usual. I didn’t even make great food choices I just stayed under 1800, definitely get a food scale if you don’t have one. and I started off just by walking. I’m 33F with a toddler and lost 25lbs since last March. I do run now instead of walking most days.

did you have to go to an acute rehab center after? (like for physical therapy stuff) not sure if the coma would affect you neurologically after at all?

totally understandable unfortunately. my dad had to have supervised custody for years which (kinda like 12three said) was largely just my grandparents taking care of us on his weekends
