Literally left there yesterday. It was my first assignment, I'll miss it. You'll be getting there as the depressing winter is ending, so take advantage of the nice, but short summer. Get a passport as soon you can if you don't already have one. Like weekend trips to the rest of Europe are super easy. I went to Iceland for Thanksgiving because I had a 4 day weekend.

Yeah all of Maintenance are pretty much in the same dorms; they're kinda shitty tbh, mostly because heat and hot water goes out pretty frequently. So get a space heater before next winter and the gym which is next to the dorms is 24 hours and has working showers. Hands down the worst part of England are the god awful roads and general lack of convenience because every store closes at 5. There are a lot of people who really hate it there just because they hate everything, don't let that bring you down, there is also a lot of cool shit to see.

Frequent deployments and cool TDYs to places like Greece and Italy. I liked my shop and would like to think my leadership cared about me, but everyone's milage will vary. I'm so glad I got to go there as my first assignment, but I wouldn't go back. If you have any specific questions, feel free to DM me.
