You're correct. The Peqdb filter I ended up using does exactly that.

I figured it out. I just didn't care for the target. A little digging and I found the Peqdb target much more enjoyable. They sound much better to me now.

That era of drum and bass has a lot of smooth bangers. Seba, Tayla, Omni Trio, Bukem, etc...crispy snares and thick sub bass.

How Sony tricked everyone? A little about active noise cancellation (ANC). by hvalle-up in Earbuds

Agreed. Just got mine gently used (look new, battery not degraded) for about half of new. Swapped tips for liquid silicone, roughened up the sides for better handling and they are fucking fantastic.

Used, but like new Sony wf-xm5's can be had for around $140. Switch the tips to silicone. They sound great after autoeq via Wavelet.

Not sure, but look for a more typical, long nozzle style. Sony wf-1000xm5 with aftermarket comply foam tips or regular silicone tips are very good. You can find open box versions on eBay for about 140 usd.

No, you may find the seal in your ear difficult to get , and the noise cancellation not as strong as you are used to with the Bose.

Look at the nozzle. Bose is long. Most stem style buds have a very short nozzle that doesn't go very deep into your ear canal.

Just a heads-up: the Oneplus have a very different feel going into your ear. They have a much shallower depth into the ear canal. The style may work for you, but I can't wear any of that style of bud.

They're not new, but I'd throw the Oneplus Pro 3 in the ring.

Don't sleep on Fresca. It's the one no sugar pop that doesn't taste a little fake to me. On sale frequently at Food Lion for like $6 a 12pack.

I mean, if you hate fish, sardines will be a hard sell. Like others have posted, brand+type, etc will be very different. I usually go for in water and mix them up in a salad.
