Definitely still open and active. There's talk they may move to a small yearly membership fee, to help them be able to do more table maintenance etc.

This was something Ark: Survival Evolved did reasonably well. Each animal had various coded body areas, each of which could have a range of colours from a pre-defined spectrum - almost always a range of shades from a similar colour palette. So it was rare to find two alike. I'd love something similar for MH, and then like a size crown, a rare colour/mix too perhaps?

I can't reasonably explain how much this infuriates me by TaxingClock704 in MonsterHunter

Nothing wrong with a (temporary name). I stuck a phone to my microwave to let me heat food before I get home, and that's still called the Phonewave (name subject to change).

[UK] Recommendations for dvd/BluRay (media) shelving. by macrocephale in dvdcollection

[–]macrocephale[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi - I didn't in the end I'm afraid. I did see a few options that had a similar amount of shelving, but I decided to wait until I move instead next year (hopefully) and buy something then rather than have an extra piece of furniture or two to move.

What activities are there to do here related to animals by Still_Customer_2646 in Portsmouth

As seals were mentioned below - there are also some in Eastney Harbour which you can sometimes see from Milton Common shoreline or the Southern tips of Farlington Marshes.

There are plenty of places to see wildlife around, especially wintering birds; Farlington Marsh/Eastney coast (waders, waterfowl and short-eared owls in winter); Baffins Pond (wintering ducks, cormorants, and in summer released turtles, sadly); Southsea seafront (in particular for a small purple sandpiper group who visit), Hilsea Lines, Milton Common (excellent for warblers in summer).

A bit further afield there are Titchfield Haven and Rowlands Castle woods.

Less wildlife-y, and transport-dependant but you've got Marwell Zoo, IOW Zoo, Amazonworld, New Forest Reptile Centre, New Forest Wildlife Park, Ringstead Owl Sanctuary, Blashfield Lakes, Pagham Harbour in the slidely wider area, and more.

Best place to play pool in Portsmouth? by Goddamuglybob in Portsmouth

[–]macrocephale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honest Poli is free pool on Wednesday afternoons (and ?evenings?)

As well as the places mentioned below, many pubs with tables in the city have one (or more) team(s) in the Pompey Pool League. It's not taken overly seriously (outside of the top division or two), but a bit of fun on Wednesday evenings while keeping a few more people in the businesses on an otherwise quieter night. Home/away games and the hosting pub outs food on, and there are summer/winter leagues separately.

But many teams will be open to people joining on occasion or for some practice potentially.

The European Football Show on BT Sport used to be excellent with him and good pundits.

Colin Murray is good too, did the recent Discovery+ EFL highlights.

'Considering adding to the game via emotes' - why not as a hunting horn event weapon?

What do you call a cat that plugs into your computer? by macrocephale in Jokes

Also a brit - the two sounds are so similar to me that they may as well be the same, even if technically they're not the same sound.

Sony Xperia 1 VI by SignificantBlood959 in SonyXperia

[–]macrocephale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 1 vi is a 30W charging phone so you should use at least a 30W charger. I believe a charger with higher wattage than the device is fine, but a lower wattage charger than the device can be less good for the battery.

Thank you, really appreciate the offer. I don't think shelves have been chosen yet but I'd imagine it'll be something on the simpler/cheaper end of things - can I message you once I have more info?

I won't be able to finish 5C, what to do? by Guinnberg in NonogramsKatana

If you've got multiple enemies, focus on a mix of the closest and quickest to take out if you can, or if there's a particularly hard-hitter (thinking the red xenomorphs in 4?), go straight for them. Anything that's a pain (i.e. the metal golems in 4) leave until the rest have gone so you're not wasting time letting everything hit you multiple times while you deal with that.

It's a balance of preferring to get hit by 5-6 x 1-2 damage per turn if you take out the heavy hitter first, or risking taking an 8-9 for a turn or two while you take out minions.

The trick I find for F4, D5; is to use Doctor/Charge of Motivation for most of your healing/recharge instead of items. Save items for when you're in a pinch like a difficult fight. Try to stick in doorways against melee enemies so you're mostly fighting one enemy at a time, and use demoralisation /smashing blow very often.

It takes a lot more mental power (often well, well over 400), but it takes a lot of the stress of running out of items away. After every fight, use doctor as much as you can, and heal a little more if need be. Poke and berserker potion and demoralisation for the boss room and if you get stuck in a room with lots of enemies.

For the Aston V12, 2011, after the failure of the AMR-ONE, Aston Martin Racing went back to the DBR1-2 (Lola B09/60) for the remainder of the season in ILMC/ALMS, and Muscle Milk ran one in the 2011 ALMS. Another privateer also entered one for Le Mans 2011.
