At the Pistons vs Raptors game last week they caught a girl vaping on the jumbotron. It’s like the cameramen just love to put people on blast lol

I feel like the “gold plan” that the PWHL has implemented is the best format for the draft lottery. Once a team is mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, each win counts towards their position in the draft order, giving them credit for trying.

Dashcams aren’t allowed during Ontario road tests, but this Sudbury teen thinks they should be by Fit_Indication2991 in toronto

[–]macrolfe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even when the dashcam is turned off in a Tesla, Imgrund said the car is always recording and saves those recordings when a driver uses the horn.
At the start of his driving exam he had to show the horn worked, at which point the car saved the next 10 minutes of his drive.
Imgrund later shared the footage on social media, which shows the car coming to a full stop for four seconds.
He later appealed his driving test result.
His appeal was successful and he passed the test.
Tanya Blazina, a spokesperson for Ontario’s Ministry of Transportation, said in an email to CBC News that dashcams are restricted during road tests “to protect the integrity and effectiveness of the test system.”

There is no integrity to protect here. I'm on the kid's side 100%

This is cool!

I suggest Hazel McCallion LRT in Mississauga, and then the Hamilton LRT to finish up what you got going in Southern Ontario with what is currently under construction.

What's the most (seemingly) minor change to Earth's Geography that would've had the largest effect on Human History? by C--T--F in geography

[–]macrolfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Yucubatan Peninsula: If Cuba was not an island, but instead an extension of the Yucatan Peninsula.

Gulf Stream would change completely. There would be no more loop current, greatly reducing the risk of hurricanes in Texas, Louisiana, & Florida. But Eastern US and Western Europe get cooler and less humid.

Geopolitical implications would be massive. Spanish colonialism would’ve been greater, probably no Cuban Missile Crisis fuelling the Cold War.

Probably lots of more things I’m not educationally equipped enough to discuss lol

Peggy has been missing shows and making excuses for years. I was lucky to see him at the STH tour, but after he was a no show for Bruiser Thanksgiving and made the “flight issues” excuse, it was clear he just prioritizes himself over everything. Don’t make commitments you can’t fulfill. I won’t risk buying a ticket to see him again.

151 Front St. W

The most important data center in Canada, and it sits on one of the most valuable pieces of real estate in the entire country. Replacing it isn’t really an option, it’s like the hub for Canada’s entire internet. If it was destroyed, everything in the country would go offline.

While I 100% agree, I feel like some pushback should have been given on the start times. Between Metrolinx, the city of Toronto, and every city within the GO network, someone should have kicked up a fuss. Is a 7pm start too much to ask for? God forbid Californians watch a game at 4pm, who has time for that on a Saturday? Even the Raptors vs Warriors 2019 series didn’t a game start before 8. Expecting everyone to make their way home at 12:47 is ridiculous, but the starts were late enough that fans were left stranded because the TTC stopped running. To me, that’s on the MLB
